Is it healthy that we gain models of morality from popular movies and TV shows?
What about music? What about visual art?
Certainly there are good moral qualities from various pieces of classical music, premodern dramas, folktales and paintings.

May your patience bring you what you must know and leave with your family including grand children. I wont offend myself to make a point on this beautiful time. Patience gives me strength when i am weak - impatience drains me when I explicitly give it my time.

Can i just point out something the experiment has missed? Spontaneous heroic actions not captured by camera or film. Children saving other children, animals being saved by everyday people... I often wondered if saving someone was the reason why a person was meant to be in that place and time to do exactly that act. Its heart warming to think what the person will live on to do and ultimately give to others. The mysteries of something humans can try to simulate but will fall short of proving the greater meanings for how things are without any reason... unless of course and only IF the notion of "choice" making was factored in. Then its a party, yes? Maybe the experiment could be compared to kindergarten too? 🤔

all people are capable of engaging in altruistic, nefarious and, the most popular of the three, an indifferent behavior... while one who is exposed/surrounded by art might be more predisposed toward a particular choice, the same applies to the other two behaviors, when certain factors (innate or not) exert their particular spells... 7:15

Ayn Rand believed that altruism was a way to justify self. Such as art: an artist crafts art to help others?

I certainly hope this experimentation mitigated the possibility that those in the noncontrol group exemplified a sufficient level of altruism prior to engaging with the “aesthetic content”.

The word "affect" only sounds positive to unknowing readers of the modern age. When you consider the full history of the word "affect" you realize that the word contains records of evil and oppression. Dictators would "affect" to be artists, too. So, I do not just think that the word "affect" is really positive. History is not psychology. History is the real record of human existence. Psychology is "just in the head" for lovers of mystery. Truth is more important than imagination. I can turn the page to authors like Mark Twain, Edward Gibbon, Oscar Wilde, Wordsworth, Alexander Pope, Virgil, and more. Imagination can be very, very intense and dramatic and history shows us the evidence of our existence. The word "affect" has a very dark presence in the history books. We should never underestimate the risk of psychology for the modern world. History repeats itself.

This was a study of social modeling. Where was are involved? How about having people read a clearly fictional story about selflessness? Hear a song? See a painting about self sacrifice?

The topic was "Can Art Affect Morality?". Did anyone hear the word "art" in this interview? More and more of CTT is getting very sloppy.

Yes, case in point, hip-hop, specifically trap music, directly lowers morality.

Humans want to elevate or double their senses strength and encourage others to use their mouth only. Jesus knew if he took people to his fasting and prayer session for 40 days and 40 nights, he will fail spectacularly. He genuinely, passively rebuked a man who call him good. His words about God went like this, "NO ONE IS GOOD BUT GOD ALONE." Till date many religions, including those of the Christian, Jewish, and Islam faith keeping misinterpreting what they knew as babies for ways to exploit others by selling limited, unrealistic goals that are either too easy or ridiculous - this has even caused men who are suppose to be head to become cowards. The only root or grounding they understand is their mouth and stomach, plus what their minds have in an virtual account. If it wasn't for patience of a mother and kindness she must observe, from herself to others and vice versa kindness to her in the form of encouraging words and gifts, none of us will be here right now.
If animals put us on temple run or walk for 10 years, only then will humans recognise the power they need in them to be one another's brothers and sisters keeper. As it is at the moment, the dumbness from religious leaders, and government officials are too great for good news and instructions to penetrate their being - they just brittle beyond repair and they wont ask the real questions that relates to life.

@@djazairion6200the only persons I ever see selling Islam are the foolish muslims that know not what it is they're believing in. Go ahead and ask any true mystic and they will state:
To find Christ, you have to leave Christianity.
To find God, you have to leave religion.
Your God of belief doesn't exist, nobodys, as God transcends such a poor notion. God didn't create religion. Islam isn't the way to God, and only when you can comprehend this might you be given the chance and mercy to see God.
