Czech universities also have sport requirements (for two semesters, I think), but I don't think there's "pass" grade (ETA: Just attendance), and there's a lot of options to choose from so I ended up doing two semesters of a course designed to accommodate students with disabilities, as well as introduced able-bodied students to that sort of games, like including a lesson with the deaf theatre school - that was great! Much more an "enjoy moving your body" sort of thing.

Always amazing to go back in time and visit the Alma mater. The feeling is kind of weird though, you know every corner of it, feeling all the emotions that were there at the time, kind of 'above' those currently studying, but at the same time understanding that you no longer there. What's left is just the memory. Each time is like a deja vu.

It is very interesting to see how universities function in different cultures and countries. I live in Alaska. When I was living in a dorm it was imperative for me to have a vehicle that could drive in harsh winters. I paid over $600 in total for my dorm for one semester. I couldn’t afford a vehicle and since I am disabled, it was an awful experience. I didn’t have a job because I couldn’t sustain one. I am on a different path now in terms of career, but it is eye opening for sure to see the lives of other young adults navigating through life. I just wish it was more achievable and as convenient where I live.

I was told the universities probably wouldn't accept me because I'm older and they don't want to waste their time just for me to retire 25 years later. Which is sad because free education means people can reinvent their life and make a career and have a better retirement. But if people are being denied because they don't have all the paperwork from when they were in grade school and aren't a young age, why do they still need to pay high taxes for free school if they can't even go? It's very convoluted.

Uyen i just watched your video where German boyfriend was cooking you German food, the burger and the dessert boyfriend made looked really good. I was thinking maybe German boyfriend could make you pork schnitzel for a meal? It's just thin pork steak dipped in egg and coated and friend in breadcrumbs and it tastes good. When i was at university in Edinburgh my 2 German flatmates made this schnitzel for me and it was really delicious, i think you might like it.

I have been in hanoi last year and there i met some students that wamted to talk to me because it is their homework to speak with foreigners for improving their english skills. Did you have to do it as well or is this a more modern approach?

i feel like uyen has some sort of an invisibility cloak. if i was one of those people passing by, i would at least look at the camera or towards the person speaking. or, are college students there that busy and overworked?

i hope you didn't mean any negative connotations.
i was commenting about the way the people acted. i guess it's ideal to make a video. but if i were them i would look at the camera, and say 'mum i'm famous' or smth. but they were busy to notice anything around them. and also i guess their priority was to focus on the street, since the traffic is very tough in hanoi, as uyen has stated before.
anyways, i wrote the comment because i wanted to generate laugh-out-louds.
so, i'm happy for your 'lol'

I noticed the stairs in the university didn’t look great for people with disabilities. Is Vietnam inclusive? That was the thing that stood out to me the most.
