So nice to see, that you are still refining Workflowy, adding powerful features like “mirrors” and at the same time keeping Workflowy nice and clean. The recently added tutorial-videos provide an excellent explanation of the functions! Great job! Love it!
I like that it’s similar to RemNote
Thanks for the video!
I'm considering switching from my long-time favourite tool Evernote to workflowy. As a task manager and note-taking tool I am very convinced of workflowy. But I am hesitating because of the limited possibilities to draft texts without bullets. I like it very much to be able to combine these things. In this video I expected to get some ideas about this subject, but was a bit disappointed that there was not a deeper dive into it. Especially with the task of writing a book I expect that there would be more extensive possibilities that correspond with a text-editor. Are there any videos/resources I can check to find more info on this use case?
Hey Martijn, paragraphs and headers are something we're considering working on next. You can see that on our product updates page at workflowy.com/updates
We hope the addition of these features will make Workflowy a much more powerful environment for creative tasks like drafting.
No Sharing Features?
What is the difference between tagging with # versus tagging with @? I can’t seem to find that distinction explained anywhere. Thank you!
Currently, there's no real difference. However, in an upcoming feature, the @ tag will only be used for mentioning other users (they will receive a notification) and # will be for regular tags.
I want to build something where one node may be a child to more than one parent. Is that possible?
Hey Bill, sure thing. You can use mirrors to have multiple copies of the same child node under multiple parent bullets. You'll find the option in the bullet menu.
@@workflowy thanks. I'll give it a try
tried to download but Microsoft security has a hissy fit that the program has high risk. Not downloading until we figure out.
Hi Joe, unfortunately some unsavory characters are using the Workflowy name to try and get people to download their spyware/trojan software (on unofficial websites - not workflowy.com) and so Microsoft sometimes gets the real Workflowy mixed up with those apps.
The web version is awesome, if you can access that…
You can also use Workflowy as a 'Progressive Web App' - which makes it seem like a separate app in your toolbar.
you can use the web-version, without installing anything on your computer. Just create a bookmark for workflowy.com in your browser and save the login information, then it’s quite comfortable to use. There is also an iPhone/iPad-App, which i use for quickly adding notes into my Workflowy setup.
@@workflowy I was almost caught by one of those. But it did bring me to Workflowy to look at.
