Ah, the way we were... Forty years on, maybe people will have a smile or a giggle over the ads for the glowing rectangles we prize so much now.

I have that very same system shown in the very beginning of this video.. It needs to be restored new needle and capacitors for the receiver. I saved it from the junk pile my dad was cleaning out the cellar and i saw it outside and grabbed it. Can't beat the sound those machines had.

You can get this commercial on a DVD called "The 70s Dimension"- it's a bunch of 16mm TV commercials rescued from a TV station's dumpster. I would've fired the guy who positioned the speakers as shown at 0:16

It may not be digital, but if there's one thing I like it's audio components that look like audio components! :)

Zickcermacity analog is still better than digital.

There was a portable Magnavox TV ad on RUclips years ago, with a big product picture lineup at the end. The RUclips police erased it. I wish the Magnavox ads would show up with the frequency of the RCA ads.

Too bad we can't hear their dialogue on the sofa:
"Oh, Mike, all this talk about woofers and tweeters really turns me on..."
