    Hi from Australia 👍🇦🇺👍
    I walked into my local music shop to test out some acoustic amps and there were a few l tried all run if the mill like Martinez Fender Orange Lanny but they did not do it for me and then l saw this amp which was small and a price tag of $299 so l plugged in the guitar and l went yeah this sounds nice and l thought $299 l might get this and at closer inspection it was $2199 and it was a AER and l was saddened and right next to that amp was one more of similar size and it was made of a wood construction and I thought I will give it a go and WOW l was blown away at the sound quality that came from that little amp and it was half the price and wait for it it was a ACUS 5T so now my amp to get is a ACUS but l will get the 6T
    So thank you for your review it helped me or I should say it cemented my decision
    Thumbs up from Geelong Australia 👍🇦🇺👍👑

    I have this amp as well. It is incredible when running the DI out to a powered 12" sub then sub to a powered 10" pa speaker. The sub and speaker are Alto so fairly low price and didn't sound too swift on their own, but simply adding the Acus 5t makes it all super puchy and rich. Love it..

    I have this amp as well as it's bigger 150watt 3 channel brother ( I think they call it an 8 ). They were sold here in Canada by Godin guitars who labelled them "Acoustic Solutions". They are superb, on a par with AER for quite a bit less. I also have two Fishman loudbox minis ( one is the "charge" ) and the Acus is a better amp. I use the Fishmans more as grab and go for small gigs but recently got the 5t which is my go to amp for Acoustic now. I even play my hollow body Montreal premiere and Fifth Avenue in it ( them ) and they take pedals quite well. Like you say, build quality is stellar, these things are like works of art like a Ferrari or Maseratti lol! In use the 5t with the 8 as a stereo p/a setup with a small Mackie mixer, sounds like a rig that costs four times as much!

    Checkout SR technology, Schertler... Acus is an offspring of former SR Technology and Schertler folks.
    Basically Schertler was making their amps by SR technology, just adding the preamps. At some point Schertler acquired SR technology, and some people from SR just “crossed the street “ and made a new company called Acus.
    Very popular in France, Italy, Germany...
    They are among the warmest, woody sounding amp you will find without lacking presence or definition.

    Great video as usual Richard - your enthusiasm for Acus is palpable! I have an AER Compact 60 - do you feel the Acus 5T, even with a smaller 5 inch speaker - the AER has 8 inch of course, will still deliver the depth of sound the AER does or do i need to look at the Acus 8?

    Just caught this. So true having an Amp like this even at home. I also play a beatbuddy and boss sy1 synth and this Amp has been the best. I have tried a number of amps but this beats them all hands down for clarity and sharp tones. Great video mate.

    Thanks for the demo....ACUS is the best; the most natural sounding amp for acoustic instruments. It's Italian and pronounced AH-coose.

    Great guitar and amp! And I really related to the way you held off to listen to the loop a while before playing anything. Some channels would undoubtedly have had everything rehearsed - and would probably also edit the video to make the process appear seamless. You've just demonstrated why there's nothing to compare with a musician walking the proverbial tightrope and living the moment.

    Great demo Richard 👍 Personally I think this amp offers great value for money. I checked out their website & it confirmed that all their products are manufactured there in Italy . That's refreshing to know as so much tosh is churned out in China ad nauseam ... I actually feel sorry for the real craftsmen in China ,like Eastman who actually do care about quality & longevity.

    Purist old me still thinks a good acoustic can only be spoiled by even the best amp and pickup - and that's definitely a nice amp! I'll go to great lengths to avoid plugging my guitars in ... even when using the nice Fishman you fitted when a bought my lovely Lakewood! Take care Rich & stay well.

    I was mightily impressed by the "Acus One for the Street" and seriously considered it for busking. After questions I raised about battery life and replacement issues/cost I gave it a miss. However, I still look at developments from Acus as they are great sounding amps. I have a Marshall AS80R "Acoustic Soloist" still going strong after over 20 years of gigging; 3 channels, 80 Watt power & stereo 10" Celestion speakers plus Chorus/Reverb etc and I have to say Richard it blows the Acus away no problem. I accept technology has moved on in some fields, and certainly amps are more compact now, but no way would I swap my Marshall amp for this Acus.

    • @dietersdawgs
      @dietersdawgs 2 года назад

      good that you like what you like but for clean acoustic/classical your Marshall doesn't sound as good....I've tried a lot of amps and got this one even over an AER which is the gold standard today.

    • @Lowdenjim
      @Lowdenjim 2 года назад +1

      @@dietersdawgs You can't get a Marshall AS80 now - they do a 50 watt (which is actually Chinese made and not nearly as good) and a 100 watt version.

      @@Lowdenjim I understand and it’s a good amp I know I picked out a nice Fender acoustic for my dad about 20 years ago it was great but they don’t make that anymore I’m just saying the Acus is real nice for what’s around today

    13.23 ... Always love the parts where |Richard remembers that he needs something to show and has to nip off screen to go and get it.
    The amp sounds great and if I didn't already have a DV Mark Little Jazz Combo (which also has reverb and 3 channel EQ), I'd certainly want to give it a try straight away. I especially liked the tilt-back and stand options. Great tones 15.50+ .... Mmmmm. My earlier thoughts seems to be wavering .....

    after a huge research i identified the following amps which i wanted to try: fishman loudbox mini and artist, blackstar sonnet 60 and 120, acus 5t , boss acoustic singer. Unfortunately the fishman wasn't available, which i'm still sorry about, cause heard a lot of good things about it. The rest i could try them all at a local shop here in Barcelona. What can i say, i tried the acus first and was very impressed, then i switched the amps and went down the list. At the end I plugged Acus again and understood that the others are simply not qualified. Still have that incognita of the fishmans (even Thomann doesn't have them available) but at the end i decided for the Acus 6t for the future proofing of 3 channels. The sound was so much superior. Great presentation thanks for sharing =)
