The forgotten Wangi Wangi railway

This video features the abandoned branch line from Awaba on the Main Northern Line to Wangi Wangi power station on the shore of Lake Macquarie. It also shows a brief scene of Awaba State Mine.

Yes, there are still sections of rail, though they are difficult to find. The formation is located on crown land, so it is okay to investigate, SM

Yep I go for bushwalks there every day and there are good sections of tracks still existing. A couple of explosive shacks as well
