Allora vediamo, secondo me i punti di forza del film di cui sono stato partecipe sono l'oppressione che limita la libertà, il volo, e la propria "casa" cioè un luogo bellissimo e nostalgico, qui appunto l'Italia. La colonna sonora amplifica questi temi alla perfezione :D Sì, non è il mio film preferito dello studio, per altri mi sono informato di più, ma appunto per questo, per gli stranieri può essere un buon punto di partenza per informarsi e approfondire la guerra mondiale, magari fare un viaggio in Italia 🙂

At the end of the film, Porco proved in fighting for her against Kurtis that he is indeed a noble, selfless, and kind hearted person- and one worthy of letting himself be loved. As one as final expression of her thanks and appreciation, she kisses him to give him a ‘fairy tale ending’ that she believed he deserved for his nobility. The kiss is significant because it is able to shed Porco of the curse on him, which is an allegory to show an acceptance of love is what is needed to permeate through internalized hatred. Because of such, Porco can acknowledge that he isn’t a bad person, he is worthy of love, and life is worth living to share it with those who foster love around him. His newfound self acceptance allows him to finally confess his feelings and have a happy ending with Gina like they both secretly longed for. Fio’s kiss wasn’t an act of romance, but an act of gratitude to let Porco know of his worth, and understanding his worth is the main moral adversity Porco had to overcome to live happily.
