VVUFC Ostrich Festival Final - Game 4

Game should have gone to PK's - the PK call was obviously wrong (minute 42) if you look at the closeup slomo video I posted. The black player inserted his body between the ball and one of our center-backs, and tripped himself and our player. No foul occurred.
However to be fair, I can see how this from the center's point of view was a foul, and as center referees we don't have the advantage of VAR's like they do now in pro soccer. We get one chance to get it right.
But in this case, it cost us the game that may very well could have gone to penalties and that we could have won. This was a really close game that was a 50-50 chance for either team.
Later you'll see that same CB get a yellow card. Not sure what the referee expected him to do as an opponent was recklessly barreling towards him - the way I see it my player had 3 choices - hold his ground without intent to foul the player (which he did), hit the ground and avoid the call/card, or just let the player bowl him over with who know what consequences and harm to my player.
No matter what, it was a really good game and one that we will learn a lot from to make us a better team.
