I concur bluegrassbarry. Final Cut was under-rated. My favorite work of Pink Floyd. Or I should say Roger Water's work. That is probably why Gilmour was not too fond of it. Seems that Waters and Gilmour were in their prime of conflict of the direction of the band when this album was released. I love your cover Mr. Ludwig.
I see it. And I am so flattered that people are still watching these videos after all the years since I recorded them. I've been a Floyd fan since the early 90s. And certain albums (The Wall, The Final Cut in particular) I listened to on repeat hundreds of times. So, when it came time to do these projects, I knew every sound like the back of my hand. In general, I started with whatever tabs I found online. And then i practiced and made changes till it sounded like what I heard in my head when remembering the albums. And the singing just came from the repeat listens. There are notes you have to hit to do what Roger does and I made myself hit them. It was a labor of love. And I'm so happy that you are enjoying it.

It's standard tuning (E, A, D, G, B, E), but my E is tuned down closer to a natural D (to allow for hitting those Roger high notes!).
nicely done. i do this song too. final cut was underrated. david gilmour says he hates it. I think it's a great album. you caught the feeling in this.
