This video is over a year old. Martin was released back to his grandmother. She raised him, nursed him and taught him. Martin is almost a year and a half old now I believe.

Yeah they did, after 12 days of torturing him and his grandma crying for him non stop. They gave him back because the watchers were furious!!
I have a hard time believing they released him back to his grandma just because the viewers got mad . It'd be the one and only time that I know of that these people gave a flying monkeys a$$ about how there viewers felt about it . Just saying.... @@Smurphy415
It amazes me how many armchair experts there are commenting in these videos. What I see is someone trying to keep an orphan alive, thinking ahead so that when the bottle wasn’t accepted he was spoon fed. As for not cuddling and holding him, you only have what’s on the video to go by, but perhaps they held back so that he didn’t imprint on humans. He was eventually taken on by Grandma and to my knowledge is now three plus years old.
Perhaps people should stop, think, ask questions rather than jumping in and criticising about a situation you know nothing about.
Well done to the people who cared enough to keep Martin alive.

I've never in my life seen something so insane , as the way all these people act and the unbelievable criticism, and held to such impossible standards the owners and vo's are held to, as I see in the comments of almost every single solitary monkey video ever made. It never matters that there's not one shred of evidence that alot of these people are abusing the monkeys and mistreatment. Even though if alot of these people hadn't taking the babys to raise ,the baby would have certainly not lived for a few days of it's mothers death . Yeah a lot of babies don't end up in idea environments as a pet but there still alive. I assure u, if a monkey could reason, it would definitely choose to live in not so idea conditions b4 it'd choose to be killed. The unfortunate truth is every baby eventually becomes adult and there owners literally have no choice but to release it. Sadly alot end up killed, but there's also the ones that adapt and live long lives . But if not for the people that took it in, it wouldn't have ever had that chance. No other animal on earth has the kind of effect on people that these monkeys do. You'd think they where human babies the way they talk. Almost to the point of worship .
I love this monkey so much! He is my favorite. This also shows that human intervention can be successful when done properly and respectfully.

She's doing fine on Martin, she did fine on Santa too. I think she is trying to clean him and feed him and not to get him to clinging to humans and maybe get back in the wild at some point and that happened, Martin was given to his grandma and she raised him, his real mom died. She has been the cleanest one handing monkeys i have seen. The rest are so nasty letting them climb on them and spreading feces and urine all ove them and diseases. Lady cleaning this Martin, Thank you, because you saved a life and he grew up wild. Proud of people like ypu.

@monkeylovefreedom I think what you did was wonderful. This baby lost his mother to death and his grandmother lost her baby. It was a great idea to release Martin to her. It doesn't always work, but this time it did and Martin is grown and healthy. 🥰

You need to remember when you start feeding a new baby formula or milk it is not their mother's milk. To the baby you are trying to get it to drink something completely different from what they had from their mom s milk. It probably tastes like cough syrup would to you. All he knows is some huge strange animal is sticking something nasty tasting in its mouth. If you try picking it up and holding it close to you while you are trying to feed it at least for the first few days and use a smaller softer nipple on a bottle or syringe you will have a lot better time teaching it to drink the formula.
This is specialmilk only for monkeys...as they make milk for kittens and human newborn babies ...Labratories find the right way for that..

When she give birth...They don't have hospital there..Aninals must do this alone, and by macacs it's many that die when give birth or before a week after...
Instead of giving him to his grandma, they tortured him for 12 DAYS! All while grandma stood around crying for him. These people really make me sick. When I see them do this stuff I block all content from those creators.

his mum would have cleaned him... doing this maybe encourages him to relax a little and enough familiarity that he will feed. also notice the gloves so that she doesnt cover him in her scent.
