Great idea! Few kids realize how much work goes into the trails they ride. Hopefully this will benefit everyone by giving us all a sense of stewardship and trail maintenance. Just picking up some spoke-buster sticks each ride can be a small way to help.
i am so stoked for you! i have been building a little hand built trail in the kootenays for the last 10 (yes TEN, don't judge!) years and it is the most gratifying project of my life. giving back to the mountain bike community is very rewarding. looking forward to your progress and eventually riding it some day! thanks in advance.
Awesome project, now that you can't go travelling. Good on you for finding some new way to give back to the mtb community, keep busy, and keep the content rolling in! If all these idle hands from the COVID shutdown start building trails, this could be a great positive outcome out of it.
That's awesome Eric, good luck. I have built many trails here in Newfoundland, and boy is it hard labour, but the end pay off was great, as my friend, and I were told by many local bikers that they were the best trails around here. I say were, because we were a 2 man crew about 95 percent of the time, and we let the trail go unmaintained, now it needs massive work to get back to it's former glory
All the schnarb you could fall in to the sides of the skinnies is sure to motivate riders to stay on the skinnies. When there's nice dirt to the sides I see people falling or jumping off all the time. Nothing motivates like the risk of impalation. Well maybe skinnies over lava pits would be better, but that's probably not in the cards in that area.
The best use of your time Eric-so love to be nearer to help! Melbourne will have its own work to do for now so looking forward to coming out when you've finished it. Dig the dig.
ERIC!! Exciting stuff to see you take on a trail building project. I have been maintaining and building trail for 15 years and I know you are going to have a crap load of hard satisfying work. Trail work ain't pretty but the finished product is the prize. It was great to see you wearing your safety gear with the saw use! As for that mass of clear cut rent a Ditch Witch mini skid steer or a mini ex. Makes quick work of the dirty work with a good operator. Looking forward to those vids . Thanks!
Not sure if you addressed this or not but just interested to know, is this land you own? If not did you get permission to build this or just taking the initiative to build it in the wild? Appreciate the content, its so cool!
the best thing I love about this is that I'm close to where that van he lives in is and whenever I see I tell my parents to look this guy made a video on Legdeview and has 182k subs
In regards to the Badlands switchback between there and The adjacent woods maybe even crossing the stream once or twice build big berms wooden berms or excavators
Nice lookk forward to see this progress. We are building a trail for my k8ds which we are going to document on our channel also. Keep up the great content
I think it would be fun to build a skinny that goes uphill for 15 feet. Then it goes steep and you get alot of speed that you can build a feature with (in the badlands)
He didn't give away the location for a reason... He is working with FVMBA, which operates in the Fraser Valley of British Columbia and maintains sanctioned trails in specific areas. Didn't take me too long...
Honestly I have been looking for it just to know and I wouldn’t leak the location is it possible for you to private dm the location or just give me a h8nt
Building trails has got to be one of the most gratifying things that a person can do! Glad you've joined the squad Eric! Also wtf how do you already have a name haha, it takes me ages...

Congrats on 182k subs!
So exited to see it compleatedy
Yesssssss you made a trail
Sounds great! Wish I lived up there.
Awesome, looking forward to seeing the trail come to life. In the clearcut, just connect a network of stumps using skinnies!

AWESOME! And btw. thanks for the translation into the metric system ;)

You could build a nice wooden bridge across the lake
you are going to build a trail! SICK !! i live 5 min from camp fortune and i love ur chanel 👍
Camp Fortune is a long way from BC, LOL! It must have some nice trails too though, I imagine. I grew up in Ottawa (before mtb was much of a thing).
@@fillfreakin2245 eric went there that is why i said that but the trails are really nice to👍
I ski and bike at camp fortune all the time
Thanks Eric, looks very interesting...looking forward to see how this plays out and to ride it one day!!
Yesssss I'm building a trail right now and it is the most fun and rewarding process ever!!!!
Thanks, BCpov! I live quite close and am really looking forward to the finished product!
Alright, I was just a casual viewer before, but now you have my attention. This is gonna be sick!

Can't wait to see what this eventually come to. Keep up the good work!
Yay! Double black?
I am stoked to ride this, can’t wait! 😎
Cool! I love watching a trail build almost as much as building them myself.
Awesome! It's sad that I live too far away to be able to ride these trails in the US and Canada. :(
Not sure if you addressed this or not but just interested to know, is this land you own? If not did you get permission to build this or just taking the initiative to build it in the wild?
Appreciate the content, its so cool!
Awesome work man! Trail building is often anonymous, so it's cool to see you take us through it just like a ride. Looking forward to following along!

That log roll looks INSANE
I'm local to here so I'll have to ride your trail once it's done. Can't wait!
I'm so hyped, great support from France
love it
trail building is some of my favourite work. i'm building my own trails at the moment, secretive serpent, currently building a 4 ft high berm.
Your building your own trail!
That is something I would love to do myself. One of these days when we can all gather again it would be a cool place to meet and ride together.
This is gunna be sick, we are in for an awesome ride people
Woowww, nice project, the environment helps a lot.
This so an good idea pls never stop making that good video. Hope stone starlet is everything you want

Hey
Cool! Last week I started to make a trail to!
that's going to be an amazing trail.

Seth’s bike hacks wants to know your location
Never felt more disappointed to live in the UK
Well done, great job.
all i do is build trails to ride. make it your way your rules and all in all a fun ride in the end.
Love trail building videos!
I built my first dirt jump in my yard, 17 ft gap it’s so fun
I think it would be fun to build a skinny that goes uphill for 15 feet. Then it goes steep and you get alot of speed that you can build a feature with (in the badlands)
I already want to ride it and I am 30 seconds in the video
Found the location on Google Earth, I'll have to check it out when it's ready!

you should make a progressive drop part, great work!
yay a new videoooo
Is it green, blue, or black level. I would really like to know.
he has not built it yet as you might be able to see
It looks like a hard blue or a mediocre black
I think Eric won't add some huge jumps or anything so I'd say a mellow black.
Is it going to be green, blue, black, double black or pro line?
Good luck 🙂👍🏻👍🏻
How long do you think it will take you to build this? loving the content☑️
Sooo exciting
Dam this is awsome I have always wanted to do this
