I used to always pretreat the edges of my counted cross stitch fabric with Fray Check so it wasn't prone to unravel through all the handling as I stitched my project.

Do you soak it in water like the stamped cross stitch ones after they're completed? I think if it says 9 count that's how many cross-stitches will fit 1 inch across. So a 1 inch square would fit 9x9=81 cross stitches in a 1 inch square if it's a "9 count". I just learned this last month. 😁 You did a great job on the review. Yes, this 9ct kit means 9 boxes in one inch so each square is bigger than your typical 14ct or 18ct cross stitch you usually do.
