It's been a while since I read it but iirc they're hunting the dragon gods for the 100 year quest, each as strong as acnologia. This was during their hunt of Selene and one of her henchwomen turned Lucy into a yokai with magic
To expand on that, a new group of enemies was introduced, and the main cast got their asses kicked as usual. Natsu and Gray were dropped in a dungeon to fight for the entertainment of Selene and her servants. The girls were transformed and are now their opponent. Natsu ran into Snake Lucy here. Gray ran into Cat Wendy, Happy, and Carla. Wendy looks like she's wearing a fluffy cat costume and acts like a kid playing a game. Happy and Carla were turned into giant tigers that want to tear Gray limb from limb. We haven't seen Erza yet.
@@bradgaines5091 i don't think they did anything with Erza. She's terrifying enough as is. i really hoped to see lucy kick Natsu really hard because she really needed some more badass moments. don't think we'll get to see that unfortunatly. could have been used to throw the shippers another bone.
