    That allusion to "Holiday for Strings" was slick. The whole performance is masterful -- beautiful reharmonizations and characteristically nimble playing.

    Just superb, Rich - SUPERB! Even though he doesn't have a performance I've found (yet), I hear some Reed tinged phrases... I'll bet if he didn't do this one, he would sure love it!

      @@richardsmithmusic thanks. It is - I’d forgotten how bonny it is in Yorkshire, especially the Dales where we have moved back to. And this house has provided me with a lovely large music room!!

    We live in an unfair world. Female guitar players who show cleavage get 1 million+ views regardless of talent while some of the most talented male players get next to nothing.

    • @juleswins3
      @juleswins3 2 года назад

      If you’re talking about Sophie Lloyd I’d have to disagree. She shows plenty of cleavage, no doubt, but her playing is terrific. It’s completely and totally different than Richard’s but her talent is undeniable. Check out her rendition of “We Are The Champions” by Queen. She wrote and recorded the arrangement … about ten guitars worth. Gabriel Quevado shows zero cleavage and is another great female guitarist with 1.5 million subs. I totally agree with you that Richard does not get the recognition or subs he deserves. He is my fave picker!

      @@juleswins3 No, I wasn't referring to her. I was thinking more about Larissa Liveir. She's beautiful for sure, but very middle of the road as far as guitar ability.

      There's room for everyone!! Those girls are playing the hand they were dealt and killing it. I'm good with that.

      @@richardsmithmusic You're right, music is for everyone. I'm just saying I wish views were proportional to talent and not physical appearance.
