I’m like maybe 3 years in and still consider myself a beginner. Learn something new everyday also hair changes by season this journey is for the long haul 😂
Tysm. I just found out that I have rlly wavy hair and that’s why my hairs been so frizzy, but im so scared bc it sounds like so much work and I’ve never ever done this before, so thank you
This is the most useful video! I re-watched today to remind myself the steps for rinsing, scrunching (with+without a t-shirt), applying product with "praying hands..." Thank you for your help Tabitha!! 💖
I'm so glad to find someone with similar texture hair as mine, so many "wavy" girls on RUclips have ringlets. My hair is also down past my hips, & Idk how applicable techniques for shoulder-length hair are, just because my hair is so heavy.
A product I use on wash day is the hair drying headband. It really enhances the conditioner you put on your hair. It really combats frizz as well. The name of the company is called dryhairday
Thank you for this great video. I am not really a beginner, but I love hearing more affordable product options to mix up my routine and find new favorites.
I can't decide between having curls or just wavy hair...my hair is naturally an inbetween, but how I treat it seems to depend on how it's gonna look 🤷♀
perfect video, thanks so much for sharing! A little overwhelmed by all the videos and product choices out there as someone new to curly hair styling, etc. This was the perfect video for me. Thanks again!
Thanks for this video! Question for you: have your curls changed since you grew your hair out? I'm thinking about growing mine out but I'm worried I'll lose my curls to the weight. I'd love to see a video where you react to your old routine and explain how it has changed with longer hair.
Thanks for watching! That is such a great video idea! ☺️ I honestly don’t feel like it’s changed much because now I just have more hair so it almost looks curlier, although if it got really long it might be heavier so that might change? Idk but I feel like majority of my waves are throughout the length of my hair so it works out
Hi Tabitha! Your hair looks great after going through these steps. How does this process hold up to humidity and how many days do the defined waves last? Do you have a “refresh” step for days in between washes? Thanks in advance for your reply
Fantastic! ❤ Very informative. Just like my hair. I'll look into some of those affordable products soon. I want more hold but no hard crunch. Thank you for sharing.
Yes I feel like a lot of people with wavy/curly hair use them in place of conditioner and sometimes I do too but definitely not always 😊 I love being able to add in moisture and protein before I shampoo!
Hi, should I use all these products immediately after washing my hair or after they dry a little ? What about the next day? Should I reapply all these except shampoo and conditioner on day 2 as well? A very fresh newbie here, sorry for all these questions 😅
I’m also pretty new, but I apply the stylers and leave ins on wet hair. On second day I spray some water lightly on hair and scrunch a bit to refresh the products already in hair.
I usually recommend applying products while your hair is still very wet! You can also apply them when it’s not so soaking, as long as it’s still damp 🙃 and what the above comment said is a great recommendation! You can reactivate the product in your hair on day 2 or 3 with water.. hope that helps 🫶 I also have lots of other hair videos organized into playlists!
I dont usually comment but i thought that I should let you know that you soooooo underrated this video is amazing and the products you've listed are super affordable usually the products ppl show are always expensive tysm!
I really like your content!! Literally just discovered you, trying to figure how how to manage my thin, fine wavy hair. Hope you do a video for thin hair!! BTW you're so pretty 💚💙
Would this look good on men? I'm 17 and I've been growing my hair out for a while and I need to find a way to make it look more smooth/non-frizzy, great video!
Yes I would definitely recommend this for anyone’s wavy/curly hair! If you have shorter hair though, you could probably use lighter products! Just a good cream or light hold gel might be enough for your hair 😊
When do I need to do these steps again every 3/4 days? Beginning of each week?, do I still need to shampoo and condition, then Leave in conditioner my hair every 3-4 days?
Hi Tabitha, my hair is similar to yours, and I'm looking for a new routine to try as my hair is always frizzy and kinda greasy when i put product into it. Are you still using the same products you were in your 'updated routine' from a year ago or could you please post a new video with your current routine?❤(or is this your current routine anyway)
May I have tips on how to make my hair less frizzy? I do not know if it is because I use too much shampoo but I would love a tip please, it's what I struggled with most since I started my routine
Best advice I can give is to use a lot of gel on very wet hair! Try not to touch it too much as it dries, and then you can use a lightweight oil to smooth over it and carefully scrunch out any stiffness. Hope it helps 🫶
I would just do whatever is most comfortable for yourself! I have a routine pretty similar to this one and I personally wash every 2-3 days (sometimes longer in the winter). Dry shampoo will be your best friend on your non-wash days (:
im a beginner and i am struggling to find a shampoo/conditioner that i like😭 ive tried so many but most of them end up leaving residue on my hair or make my hair too dry🥲 ive finallt found styling products/routine that works for me i just cant find shampoo or conditioner
my routine is quite similar to this an i get some pretty good curls but no matter what i do my hair is all flat and straight by day too. No sleeping method worked for me and refreshing routines also do nothing. Only washing my hair works. Any tips or any help on what I can do ? Maybe someone has or had the same problem as me ?
I have the same issue! It’s always been my biggest problem. Water and re-styling seems to work okay, but for one thing i have very thick, low porosity hair so it takes abt 10 years to get it wet enough to do anything with it, but I’ve also heard that it’s not great to be getting it wet and manipulating it every single day. But either way styling it with water and more product every day is wayyy too much work for me so for now I’m still hunting for solutions ☹️😢
My hair is like her but the waves is not defined, I want to start wavy hair routine but I don’t want i need for now I just need jell and mosse and curl cream define (but I don’t know how to use any of them) any help PLEASE!
I have the sheamoisture manuka honey & yogurt blue bottle conditioner! But it takes sooo many pumps of conditioner just to comb through my hair! Theres no slip :( im not sure if I should get another conditioner
Mmm have you tried any different ones? I would say both of the ones I mentioned have pretty good slip but if you have very thick or coarse hair you might want to use a mask in place of conditioner 🙃
Thank you! My hair thinned out and went wavy last year. I have no idea what to do to take care of my hair and handle tle frizz. This helps, but it's a lot of products and I have to be careful with my allergies.
i have literally thhe same hair as yours! mine is frizzy 😭😭 also can someone tell me what the type of her hair? like is it wavy or curly and what number is it?
Just curious if you’ve tried the function of beauty wavy hair products at Target. I love the leave in with the curl definition and heat protectant shot added. I can use the leave with with just a mouse for bouncy soft waves. I was wondering if you’ve tried the shampoo, conditioner or mask.
I recently stopped doing the curly girl method because I looked untidy and like I haven't combed my hair for a week, especially in the back side. It especially haopens when I do the routine with my head down. And when swiped up my hair is just messy and tangled and "unbrushed". Have any tip for this?
I don’t actually follow all the rules of the cgm, but it might just work better for you to style upright 😊 also, have you tried the bowl method? I have a video on it and it is upside down styling but it helps your hair clump so it might cause less tangles
What does this even mean, do people only have short hair now? Does anyone do this does anyone do that, yes people can watch stuff even if it's not from the same year they're in
Always be careful when looking for products for your hair, both the shampoo and conditioner contain Isopropyl alcohol. Which will cause your hair to be dry and frizzy.

You actually can have more than 1 type of hair. For example, my top layer is 2a and my under layer is more 2c.

How often do you wash your hair / do this routine?
Thank you for the video! Is there any skippable product? Does only using shampoo and conditioner work?

Loved this! Could you also please do a refresh routine for beginners? My hair always gets all messed up when I sleep
Thank you! I do have a few refresh videos on my wavy/curly playlist, but I do them periodically ☺️
Same!
Man I wish I had your hair! I hate having fine wavy hair, I’m redoing it every single day
