    I've heard a lot of idiots be like "who cares that Travis Kelce's brother is retiring" or "who cares that a center is retiring." So to avoid that nonsense coming to this comment section as well, here's the deal. Jason has been advocating for his brother in football for a long time. The Travis Kelce we see today is not the same Travis Kelce without Jason as his brother and that's a fact. Secondly, he's not just a center, he's a HOF center and that line WILL NOT be the same without him. He's also just a good dude, so don't hate.

      @tiddiesattic 8 месяцев назад

      @bowed305 There are legitimate reasons for a man to cry.. an NFL player retiring is not one of them.. I was in the service & what he did for that vet was awesome, but any man who cried listening to that is just pathetic

    • @bowed305
      @bowed305 8 месяцев назад +7

      @@tiddiesatticAin't a thing wrong with showing some emotions. We all do it differently. This man is leaving something he's loves doing, and leaving people he loves, and his life is about to change in huge ways. Publicly displaying his emotions about that is completely understandable. Why is it an issue for you if a man cried at this? If you don't want to cry, no one is making you, but a man's metal isn't determined by his ability to hold back and deny emotions.

    Jason (and uncle Travvy) represent the part of society we've been missing for a long time.
    We're in an are of toxic sh%^t-posts and keyboard heroes (people who feel brave hiding behind their accounts) trying to make everyone's lives miserable.
    We're in an era where people are extremely petty about which word we should call them, and whether our comments had a typo or not.
    We're in an era where people want to be seen as unique and special, and yet lash out at others for being unique and special.
    We're in an era where many folks reading this don't understand what it's like to have a bond with family and a support group like the Kelce's do.
    The reason we fans, go full Vermeil, is because being able to just witness what the Kelce's have going (yes even w/ Taylor Swift) is what we all strive for: Friendship, Love, Support, success.

    The story about the trainer says a lot, because you can tell a lot about someone's character by how they treat "the help": are they mindful of not making a mess that a janitor will have to clean up, are they polite to their waiter/waitress/bartender, do they treat the person at the toll booth or cash register like a person as opposed to something they have to get through. Jason Kelce isn't just the older brother we all wish we had, he's the kind of guy all dads hope their sons grow up to become, and not because he's an all-time great NFL player.

    As a Cowboys fan I am so grateful he’s gone. But not because of any competitive advantage it gives us on the field. The reason I’m grateful he’s gone is because it pissed me off to have so much respect for, and be such a fan of, a guy wearing Eagles green.
    All kidding aside, dude is a legend on and off the field. He demonstrates not only what it means to be a football player, but more importantly, what it means to be a man, an American, and a father. In an era which is so divisive and filled with hate coming from all directions, it’s astoundingly rare for a guy to have been in the spotlight for 13 years and becomes universally respected and revered by everyone across the football, political, and social world in which we live.
    They need to start carving his bust in Canton.

    I don’t care what anyone says… two dudes lowly drafted from Cincinnati ending up in the NFL Hall of Fame is amazing. Plus Jason is directly responsible for Travis’s success. He got him back on the team when he was kicked off, he put in a world with Reid to draft Travis, etc. Jason is an amazing big brother. I love this family because of that bond. I can’t stand Taylor Swift and all that, but the dynamic these two share and what they accomplished in the end is amazing. Both first ballot hall of famers. Remember too that this is a Center… an incredibly important but hardly heralded position. I don’t know anyone after this year who doesn’t know who Jason Kelce is.

    Jason is a Mensch, plain and simple….. and the Lawrence Taylor of NFL centers, redefined the position.

    Great job Rich! A true loss to the NFL with Jason’s retirement. Can’t wait to see him in his next chapter that he chooses and what will obviously be the greatest HOF speeches ever!

    I love the Chiefs, and Travis Kelce is one of my favorite players, but Jason Kelce is one of my favorite human beings.

    1. Amazing segment. Rich, you are a gem. And my fav "NFL talking head".
    2. KC fan here. I hate the Eagles. Jason is the best 😢. I cried when he walked out after the L in Tampa.
    3. Need a good guy weekly segment. Obviously not everyone or anyone is like Jason but highlight the under the radar good things these modern gladiators do
