This is not just true of WWE but it's corporate America and smart employees can see through the "we are family" smoke screen. You're your own corporation folks, do what's best for you and your family. I still can't believe it's expected that employees give two week notice while corporations can lie and lay you off days after telling you that your employment is secure.

I absolutely LOVE how straightforward and honest you're being about all this. I've known for a long time that WWE doesn't like to hire actual wrestling fans for backstage roles and that if you show that you're a fan of it in your audition, they won't hire you. Like, you're a whole WRESTLING company and you go out of your way to NOT hire wrestling fans? How?! It's like the whole Adnan Virk situation on Raw that you mentioned a few years ago. It's as if they're disgusted with wrestling fans or something. Like they look down upon them (Even though it's their job to cater to them). I'm so confused 😕

@TheWrestlingMattShow a little late to the party, but it always amazes me how WWE could get rid of somebody and all traces of them disappear and the audience rarely ever notices. Like they never existed at all. They are very good at sleight-of-hand. I think Dolph Ziggler said it best. It doesn’t matter if you win or lose or if you’re at the top of the card, you have to make yourself invaluable to the company in a way that they can’t deny. And that goes for any corporate environment.
Look at the career he had over so many years, making the money he did. Not many people make it almost 2 decades in that business. Especially if your role is enhancement talent. Even though he was better than 90% of the people he was enhancing.
What I never got is, if a corporation actually treated its employees from the top to the bottom with respect and paid them a little bit more than any other corporate environment… They would have loyal employees for life. Somewhere along the line, loyalty completely took a backseat to greed. Which is horrible. Definitely not the way I would run a business.
