She is 100% on point with how much goes into any one match in League. You are almost required to learn the basics of almost every other champion. Or the ones in the meta that shifts a lot. It is quite the knowledge barrier to overcome just to be considered by "the (Toxic) Community," as anything more than competant. Also she hit the nail on the head with "Game vs. Game" discourse XD
Kind of? I've been playing since S4 and I still don't know all the specific skills and passives of all champs, just the gist of what they do (Gold 2 btw). Like I know Morde's got the bop, the pull, the shiled, and the BS, but I sure as hell don't know CDs, how the shield is stacked, and his passives. I just know to not gank him. For beginner I think that's good enough, especially if you stick to learning one role at a time.
The problem with League is that you don't have access to all champions immediately and you have to either buy them or wait for them in the free to play roster, so when you play against a new champion or one you've never seen before you have absolutely no idea what they do. That said, Dota is way more complex than League will ever be, and I'm not being biased here, I've been playing Dota since the Warcraft 3 days and League since S1. It is just straight facts. Sure League has some high skill champions like Au Sol, Azir, or Aphelios, but Dota just has lots more hidden mechanics in the game that can really affect the way you play and the outcome of your matches for just knowing about them e.g Creep equilibrium, Stacking and Pulling, Jungle juke spots, multiple unit microing, Day and Night vision.

Honestly I wouldn’t mind watching Fauna playing bots with friends, like imagine she’s playing Yi and she uuus after every reset.
As both a dota player and league player. I can say that dota is more technical in its gameplay than league (especially when it comes to farming the jungle). That being said, I'm really exicted for Fauna to play dotes someday
At first, I thought it was weird how installing DotA 2 on my computer also installed an un-delete-able program that will automatically activate if I even try to download League of Legends that will burn down my house and shoot my dog, but after I found out about turn rate as a stat, I realized that DotA 2 is by far the superior game and that these measures, while extreme, are nothing to be concerned about, because why would I ever want anything else.
My brain couldn't keep up with DotA2's very technical gameplay (it's probably why it has an in-game guide), so I didn't play more than 2 or 3 games when friends invited me to play. I played League more cuz it was simpler... so simple that I can just shake my head when I get matched with kids that don't know anything. I haven't seriously played a moba for 5 years now... but I would definitely enjoy watching a DotA 2 Fauna stream since I enjoyed watching different mobas back then even when I don't understand some things.
I would love to watch Fauna play a MOBA...it tends to bring out the rage. Now that would be some good content to see Fauna seriously rage from a MOBA XD. And I would have to agree with Fauna, yes I used to love playing LoL over Dota but Dota does have much much better prize pools.
Ex Dota 1 & 2 player here. I repeated high school due to that blasted game. Fauna touching that game will eventually drag me back to that cursed game, help.
Remember Heroes of Storm? That time Blizzard tried one MOBA to compete with League of Legends, and it was so mediocre that no one ever brings that up at online debates?
Well... They literally stopped the pro scene (In a hugely dickish way no less). LoL and Dota are actively ongoing e-sports so no wonder no-one brings up HotS for debates... That said, HotS is the only MOBA I still play occasionally. It's pretty fun in ARAM thanks to its unique design of using talents and team exp instead of items and personal gold.
I will break a lance for HotS, the game was many things but never mediocre. Most of people that hate on the game only played it for like 10 or 20 games (and im being too generous with this) at most on the Overwatch campaings, and they really never had the intention to give it a chance an ended saying that was bad or mediocre because can't be played the same way they would do it with Dota or League. The people that really gave it a chance ended enjoying the game because was good.
A bunch of innovative stuff came from hots that other mobas picked up. It was far from mediocre. If anything, it's only sins were being late to the scene and having delusional upper management.
Play the game you like and don't worry about what other people like. Multimillion dollar companies and e-sports don't need you to defend their honour in social media and RUclips comments. Still engaging in console wars no matter how many decades pass in gaming is pretty miserable.
Dota elitism knows no bounds. Dota players will always win the arguement, for the simple fact that League players care less about facts and will only queue for their next game(like the slaves they are). If there is one undeniable fact about both of the games, it's that they're both MOBAs and are therefore equally horrible in the eyes of the gaming community.
Both are hella childish, Dota is like that one annoying dude who keep saliva screaming at Lol as to why dota is better, while Lol is still in queue (caroline doll father style)
As someone who used to play lol and has never played DOTA, Fuana's arguments are valid. And outside looking in, DOTA is "The Salty Spitoon" while lol is "Super _Weenie Hut_ Jr's."
When I played league with some friends after being a dota player since forever, my main issue was literally "not using/spamming skills enough." It really messed up how I play and the thought process in clashes. Cause clashes lasts like, 10 seconds. Two heroes 1v1 lasts like 2s, sometimes a split second.
as a former Dota, Dota2 and now stuck in League. I could confirm, Dota is still the better game. But both are the worst games to choose from every other game.
All gameplay arguments aside, the tournament viewership experience is just so much better in Dota. There are distinct strategies, each team have their own strengths, strategies they're familiar with, and familiar heroes. Watching the metagame in the tournament evolve around the top dog teams is so much fun to follow. Every year during the "Worlds/International" period I go back and watch both games for nostalgia's sake. After watching two or three worlds matches I feel like I've watched the whole worlds since it's almost always just who executes the top picks better while in Dota even in the most boring patches I can watch parts of group stage, semi finals and the finals and see almost entirely different picks and strategies.
In league in the early game you have to calculate or strategize your abilities or you'll run out of mana but in the late game that's where you just spam the buttons (Edit) Ok I know there is energy and no mana or energy type of champion but mana is just a good example
To be fair Dota is the same in late game, but the different is Dota's skills and items are incredibly broken when use correctly, sometimes it feels like you're having 10 spells to use. Because every heroes in Dota is broken, no one is and one skills if use in the right time could change the whole result of combat.
Aboit strategising and calculation... What? Have you played lvl 6 CM once? You cant even press your ultimate if you used your skills twice in combat. Storm Spirit ulti is another example. Tinker. Invoker. Skymage. Juggernaut. And it also has a counterstrategies based on that. The infamous Topson's diffusal Gyro. League will NEVER come close to DotA in terms of strategy and execution, BUT it will alway have a sillier look and more friendly interface and community.
As a long time moba player since the Dota map 2006, then HoN, VainGlory, League, Dota 2 and a little bit of Smite. I would say that I like League the most because it is just a perfect balance between simplicity and complexity mechanics, relaxing and competitive gameplay also cartoon-ish and realistic graphics. While Dota is just unnecessary complex But to play League you MUST mute chat all 24/7! Just don't turn it on at any cost Ohh and somehow I always had a special place for HotS.. Even though Blizzard insisted that it not a moba game and it just keeps going downhill
Hate to say this but as a former Dota player I have completely fallen in love with the world of Runeterra and that's even without having played the game I know the entire continent like the back of my head but I struggle to even remember what's connected to the Plains of Endless Carnage....
Can't say anything about gameplay on the regular level since I never played LoL, but when it comes to watching tournaments, pro dota is much more entertaining than pro league.
I've heard Dota has a larger "champion" pool in tournaments than League's 15 champion rotation Edit: By champion rotation I mean players neglecting the rest of the champions that exist
@@cremlindor6607 Well, most of the time the pool of uncontested (not picked or banned) heroes at a big tournament is around 15-20 out of around 125 in game.
For me, the reason I'll never touch League isn't gameplay, it's the history behind both games... especially the one involving Guinsoo's betrayal. Just do some research yourselves I will not discuss it here.
I'm a more casual smooth brain player, I just play my placements and get my gold and done for the season and play some norms with friends. I did play DotA 1 a bunch, before Heroes of Newerth and League came out - inhouses were the most fun thing back then lol
Dota was a part of my HS - College - a few years as a working adult. I bonded with friends through Dota and when we were all apart and even on different countries rn. We could still play together.

she said she will play when she got 1M subs. (and also with Kobo someday)
But Dota has a song by Basshunter :D
But we have Lil Nas X :D
So my game is better 🤓🤓
(I have never played Dota)
Dunno who TF is Lil Nas, but I'm enjoying my TheFatRat voicepack.
(Yeah, I actually didn't know Lil Nash lmao)
@@viavlalala4764 He is one of the singers that appears in Old Town Road, honestly I don't know if he has more famous songs than that and Star Walking
Vi sitter här i venten och speler lite DotA
@@viavlalala4764 theFatRat became legend because of DotA. And I think you meant music pack. So, there's an instrumental album of Awolnation and the whole dedicated music oack by Deadmau5. Maybe even Mick Gordon did another one, I don't remember. Some DOOM-style industrial metal.
As for voice packs... Oh, I dunno where to start, but Rick and Morty, Adam Jensen, Pyrion Flax and Glados are my favourites. Ffs, there's Gaben's voice pack existing.
The DOTA anime was pretty okay~
As a former warcraft player and a dota 2 best support player, I'm going to give my full support on fauna now.
Ok best Herald player
@@dibo458 Offer me your mom and i'll carry you 😎🤝?
My highest is divine and quit as an ancient. Also known the "let be their light player." in school.
Hope she grinds till she reaches top 10 immortal
HAHAHA THANKYOU FAUNA, NOW I CAN SHARE THIS CLIP TO MY FELLOW LEAGUE ENJOYERS
How can any Vtuber be this perfect?
She's God's favorite, dude, I'm telling you
Naturally
Been waiting for Fauna-dotes since the day she said she played and I will wait some more! (please play it fauna)
I DID MY WAITING! FOR 2 YEARS! ME WANT FAUNA WITCH DOCTOR
She said when she reach 1M subs.
Same XD
She would need to play from new account, that the thing that stops her. Same with Ina and FF (among other things).
10 times the amount of effort and one will learn the basic of Dota
@@mzou89 true, it does still feel like a daunting wall of info though. I'm in the same boat for a lot of recent chamos too. I still am not 100% sure of what they are able to do XD
@@PsychoDiesel48 thing is that’s gonna be true of all mobas (I think, I haven’t played the others). Point is, at a beginner level you’re playing against other beginners or bots anyways, and your knowledge of champions will grow along side your knowledge of everything else in the game as you play more. Honestly I wouldn’t mind watching Fauna playing bots with friends, like imagine she’s playing Yi and she uuus after every reset.
I play both. The better game is the one whatever your friends feel like playing. Always a fun night filled with laughter and rage.
After i read all the comment. I only agree with this 1😅
She's goddamn right
As Dota player that only play Arcade. League will never beat Dota without some kind of arcade.
Yo the Dragons Blood shade was uncalled for. That anime was cool.
Based Fauna, i love her so much. Her main is witch doctor so she's fun to play with.
Dotes even has Batshitrider who abuses turnrate as it's core mechanic to do damage.
As a dota and league player it's always fun to see each side mocking each other.
It's more fun if they're newbie.
Same my guy, same.
0:39 boy she's in for a suprise when she sees what they did to the map in 7.33
I would love to watch Fauna play a MOBA...it tends to bring out the rage. Now that would be some good content to see Fauna seriously rage from a MOBA XD. And I would have to agree with Fauna, yes I used to love playing LoL over Dota but Dota does have much much better prize pools.
It's definitely the niche gamer rage that only mobas can induce. How will a Fauna rage sound when playing a pub game....
@@jayzenstyle that would also be great content..pro-gamer fauna content. XD
God I love her so much, she understands the moba player struggle
That's my oshi right there lol
Meanwhile, we just had the 7.33 update, Fauna would be like "WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO THE MAP???"
Ex Dota 1 & 2 player here.
I repeated high school due to that blasted game.
Fauna touching that game will eventually drag me back to that cursed game, help.
The irony is that everything that's spawned off of league is better than league, while everything that tries to spawn off Dota flops.
Kinda like Cyberpunk 2077 tbh.
Played the game. Kinda unimpressed with how lame the main story is.
Riot is a media company that coincidentally makes games. Valve is a game company that coincidentally makes media.
Except for autochess. It was actually so good that League jumped on the bandwagon and now they have TFT
Ah yes the bigger prize pool that over 99% of players will never touch
Soon as she said Witch Doctor I heard "LOOK AT HIM GO" in my head
As someone who knows nothing about Dota, I really enjoyed Dragon's Blood lol
League has Arcane but Dota 2 has the True Sight esports documentaries which are just awesome.
Play the game you like and don't worry about what other people like. Multimillion dollar companies and e-sports don't need you to defend their honour in social media and RUclips comments. Still engaging in console wars no matter how many decades pass in gaming is pretty miserable.
I don't know I could like Fauna more before this clips
Dota elitism knows no bounds. Dota players will always win the arguement, for the simple fact that League players care less about facts and will only queue for their next game(like the slaves they are). If there is one undeniable fact about both of the games, it's that they're both MOBAs and are therefore equally horrible in the eyes of the gaming community.
Yeah ahahah😂
Both are hella childish, Dota is like that one annoying dude who keep saliva screaming at Lol as to why dota is better, while Lol is still in queue (caroline doll father style)
“They haven’t changed the hero’s completely” Boom surprise mother nature the whole map is not the same😂
I dont get the Dota vs League shit. We all hate our own game more than anyone else anyways. Nobody is having fun we are stuck in hell.
Look up the Pendragon incident it's why most old dota players hate league.
Meanwhile, in Heroes of The Storm:
_Woooo baby! They didn't shutdown the servers yet! Let's gooooo!_
Holy shit i just remembered HotS after all these years 😂
I played about 5 games of LoL I'm 2013... never touched Dota... I'm with Fauna, I'll play Pokemon Unite
This clip aged like fine wine.
as a former Dota, Dota2 and now stuck in League. I could confirm, Dota is still the better game. But both are the worst games to choose from every other game.
she was about to say "if i want to play a moba, i will play a good one" xD
0:44 "They probably haven't changed the heroes completely"
And other hillarious jokes you can tell yourself
In league in the early game you have to calculate or strategize your abilities or you'll run out of mana but in the late game that's where you just spam the buttons
(Edit) Ok I know there is energy and no mana or energy type of champion but mana is just a good example
To be fair Dota is the same in late game, but the different is Dota's skills and items are incredibly broken when use correctly, sometimes it feels like you're having 10 spells to use. Because every heroes in Dota is broken, no one is and one skills if use in the right time could change the whole result of combat.
*laughs at you in Riven*
@@marachannel12 Bruh. Techis give ptsd since dota1.
not all champs use mana
Aboit strategising and calculation... What? Have you played lvl 6 CM once? You cant even press your ultimate if you used your skills twice in combat. Storm Spirit ulti is another example. Tinker. Invoker. Skymage. Juggernaut. And it also has a counterstrategies based on that. The infamous Topson's diffusal Gyro. League will NEVER come close to DotA in terms of strategy and execution, BUT it will alway have a sillier look and more friendly interface and community.
and also, we can play 12 vs 12 game mode, imagine the content and Chaos unfold
As a long time moba player since the Dota map 2006, then HoN, VainGlory, League, Dota 2 and a little bit of Smite. I would say that I like League the most because it is just a perfect balance between simplicity and complexity mechanics, relaxing and competitive gameplay also cartoon-ish and realistic graphics. While Dota is just unnecessary complex
But to play League you MUST mute chat all 24/7! Just don't turn it on at any cost
Ohh and somehow I always had a special place for HotS.. Even though Blizzard insisted that it not a moba game and it just keeps going downhill
Was hoping when she brought up witch doctor, that she would sing the "look at it go" song.
she said all the things that we dota players wanted to say
Noo Fauna! Dont go in the darkness
She is a Dota player
Her saying of copium is also the same
I love you fauna. You a cool one.
0:40 yeaaahh, side stare at Techies
Fauna to League: No, Never!
Based
Hate to say this but as a former Dota player I have completely fallen in love with the world of Runeterra and that's even without having played the game I know the entire continent like the back of my head but I struggle to even remember what's connected to the Plains of Endless Carnage....
as a dota player and a league player i can truly confirm every bit of what she said about being superior to league player is precisely true
fauna should have finished her sentence with "oh, did dat sting?"
They are both terrible games and yes I've played both.
😂
Oh boy she will be surprised with last major update
Can't say anything about gameplay on the regular level since I never played LoL, but when it comes to watching tournaments, pro dota is much more entertaining than pro league.
I've heard Dota has a larger "champion" pool in tournaments than League's 15 champion rotation
Edit: By champion rotation I mean players neglecting the rest of the champions that exist
@@cremlindor6607 Well, most of the time the pool of uncontested (not picked or banned) heroes at a big tournament is around 15-20 out of around 125 in game.
@@cremlindor6607 based on the statistic of Berlin Major (just ended 2 days ago) from total 115 heroes only 5 heroes that is not picked
Both games are only entertaining if you understand the heros/champions, MOBA isnt a good genre to watch in a beginners level.
You can definitely mash skills in Dota. Yes I play Skywrath
Bristleback, PA, PL, Spirits, Morphling, Invoker, Rubick, Pugna, KoTL, Undying etc.
For me, the reason I'll never touch League isn't gameplay, it's the history behind both games... especially the one involving Guinsoo's betrayal. Just do some research yourselves I will not discuss it here.
"they probably haven't changed every hero completely" oh no.
My game Doto is for ADULTS, we aint learning baby mode dota just becuase it's popular amung 13 year olda
This but unironically. It's like comparing Minecraft with F**KING REAL LIFE. one is clearly more complex than the other
I'm a more casual smooth brain player, I just play my placements and get my gold and done for the season and play some norms with friends.
Kaela is seething right now
as a retired dota player this video hits different
Every LoL players' counter argument: But league has Arcane!
I don't like arcane
Arcane is woke trash anyway
Oh nice
Polka: "My prize pool! Queen size! Your prize pool! Single! My prize pool is big, your pool, small small! Small, haha!"
I WILL SEND THIS TO MY LOL PLAYER FRIENDS . THEY CANNOT FIGHT ME NOW.
Fauna is very relatable ♥️
Oh boi if fauna know the map is bigger than before she prob flip XD
Hoo boy, when she sees the 7.33 update, she'll be shocked it wasn't called Dota 3
I love fauna for this fact.
Map is bigger now, and I think Fauna would love to play the new map.
Using your abilities requires you send a physical form by snail mail to the IRS in order to evaluate how much value it will generate.
The cooldown is actually a tracking number that you can use to check the progress of your request.
sasuga dota player :awesome:
I'm waiting for her reaction when she sees the current big patch in dota. She will relearning it. laugh out loud.
