Elvis was the perfect product of his time. Not only was there no one like him, but if he was discovered today, the current teen/young adult generation wouldn't gawk over him to the degree that their parents did. It's fascinating how so many women (my mother included) felt like he was singing to them specifically and not the entire crowd.
so much attention is drawn to the Aloha suit, and various white ones, both "average" and ecstatic (Peacock, Tiger, etc...) But MY attention is always drawn to the baby blue one from Hampton Roads in'72, or the Madison Square Garden one, which seems to have more gold (always a plus). AND DON'T GET ME STARTED on the gypsy and the blue phoenix suits (blue suit with silver embroidery)! Those are the best!
@@julzluvzdollz LOL! I was going to say, lol! Now women are another story, haha! Number 2 lol! That reminds me of the cruise ship that lost power in the middle of the ocean and the crew director made an announcement over the loudspeakers to all the passengers that they'd be handing out red bags for No 2's! The last thing announcement you want to hear on your leisurely Caribbean cruise (except for "Abandon Ship!").😃
Anyone that knows about Elvis knows he did not "carry around a lot of extra weight!"🙄 Throughout most of his life, Elvis looked and sounded amazing. It was only in his last few years that he gained some weight around his belly, but even then, he suffered mainly with fluctuating bloating due to the meds he was taking.

Dude, you have a black white hate thing going on here for sure!! No, he didn't "steal" anything from anyone! BUT like many if not all in the music industry, the term is, he was " influenced by such things as Blues, Gospel and James Brown! Amongst others!!! So, get it right and stow your hate!
@@brooklynace4054 dude you need help! There isn't an artist out there that hasn't molded their career from a number of people and things they grew up following! People like you is what keeps hate alive!
@@brooklynace4054 You're not telling any truth! Elvis had his own style, moves, and flair, he didn't steal anything from James Brown or anyone else! .....and where did JB, Jackie Wilson, MJ.....get their moves....they also "stole" them from their contemporaries and what came before them, then added their own twist. ALL artists are influenced and inspired by what they grow up with, encompassing them, and Elvis was no different, he felt the gospel of the church and the blues from Beale Street.
I love the jumpsuits that elvis was wearing he made the right choice to make a change

If I wasn’t gonna wear a Brisbane Bronco’s kit for Halloween this year, i’d def wear an Elvis jumpsuit instead
Seems like those jumpsuits helped him stuff all that extra weight he carried around.

They were lined w shamwow, so he could perfom without stopping to piss or poop .
Tacky
Part of the reason we voted for the young Elvis stamp is because is wasn't wearing a bedazzled singlet.
Why embarrass yourself like this? Publicly.
Those were some gawdy outfits. Money doesn't give you taste.
