I'm an old time blues harp player and Honey Alexander in my opinion is the best boogie woogie player alive today.I grew up listening to all the great boogie woogie players and she is as good or better than any body ever. unless I'm deaf she cuts every body today.

just love this woman..I was the bass player in the slam hounds on Maui we covered Rod piazza an honey and William Clark blues bands..both feature chromatic harmonic players..I was the woman in the band in the Slam hounds,,I used to say I was the only at in the dog house." Lili Hillis 2022 from 1996/97...
So sad that she has retired from playing. Saw the band last month and found out. Thankfully they were close to home, so she was there and got up and did a tune. She is an AWESOME player! So thankful to have seen the band many times in the past.
Thanks for the info... I was fortunate enough to get to see the Mighty Flyers a few times, in the 90's, in Jacksonville Beach. I'm a keyboard player and I still haven't seen a boogie player like Honey, since. Amazing... 🎹
