  • Arkady Petrovich Gaidar's novel "The Fate of the Drummer" was one of the most beloved books of Soviet children. The author himself said this about her - "This book is not about war, but about harsh and dangerous things, no less than war”" This story began to be discussed long before its publication, and in 1938 “The Fate of the Drummer" became the most anticipated book among readers.
Of course, such an exciting plot about spies who do their dirty deeds with the help of a Soviet schoolboy could not bypass the cinema. Two films were shot in the USSR, in 1955 and 1976. In the late film adaptation, the main role of Sergei Shcherbachev was played by a Moscow schoolboy Leonid Risov and we want to tell about him in this video.
