    I just bought this. I didn’t need anything fancy just espresso to add to my protein shake. Can’t wait to try it and save money everyday!

    A few comments on this video.
    1. Never use tap water, it makes the taste really bitter kinda like dirt. Use spring, or purified water. It even says it in the manual. (Coffee shops will tell you the same thing. )
    2. If you brew first then steam you won't loose so much water and you will get the right amount of espresso per pour.
    3. To clean the wand use a cup of clean water "steam" then use a wet rag to wipe it, turn it back on with the rag around it to empty anything that might be in the wand still.
    4. Your detailed instructions are great, you may not make you're drinks the to the T, but you did the basics right, and make them to your liking.
    Your instructions would pass my nit-picky second grade teachers how to: _________ essay. (As simple as it sounds want that easy).
    Overall good video I would recommend it for beginners.

    Thanks very helpful...i like the way you show measurements and pre steam the milk and make three in one. Your method saves time.
    I'm still confused about how much water should go in the boiler if I were to make a foamy milk. One time as a I put the water in the boiler and let it steam out. The water through the steamer never stopped spraying until it filled a small bowl I put underneath it. I figured a lot of the water would go into the milk when steaming but another time I tested it it didn't seem to do that. Just a little confused as to how things work.

    Another question I have is, If you're going to use the steam function to froth milk- the instructions say to fill up the water pitcher/whatever to the steam mark and pour that into the machine first. And then fill it up again to the 2 or 4 ounce mark and pour that in. I guess your drinks are turning out okay without accounting for the extra water? Or?

    I have watched a bunch of videos on this machine to make sure I was using it right. This espresso maker creates very little crema in the shot of espresso, which is sad. To me it makes just strong bitter coffee. I guess one would have to upgrade to a more powerful machine to get a decent pure shot of espresso. The fancy drinks don't honestly appeal to me, I just wanted to make a tasty shot of espresso to get me going, but I can't drink this. I will keep experimenting!

      I had the same problem at first. I found an espresso bean that works well and tastes great, but I had to experiment with how fine to grid it to get good results. If the beans are ground too fine, it'll take much longer to brew and make the beverage very bitter. I started using the grinder provided in the store, because it creates consistent sized grounds. I use Red Brick Espresso beans ground at the larger espresso setting. Good luck, I made this video because of my frustration for the lack of available information on using this machine, I am by no means an expert.

    Just followed everything you did and it worked great. But why do we need to take the lid off when finished? That part doesn’t make sense.

    • @cupchanger
      @cupchanger  3 года назад +1

      I found that not removing the lid created a vacuum after the machine cooled down, making it hard to remove the lid. Sorry I didn’t explain that part.

    Can anyone give instructions about cleaning the machine. I got mine used... I know it makes a good tasting espresso/cappachino, but I can't remember how many times I ran filtered water through as if I was making a carafe full, (just without the ground coffee)but never saw a complete end to the White flake particle and dark granular sediment that was coming out. I did it several times adding vinegar as well..

  • @bryanirvine6169
    @bryanirvine6169 2 года назад

    This is just putting a fine ground coffee into a drip coffee maker. That does not make it espresso. You have brewed stronger coffee. Certainly not a latte or cappucino. But if it meets your taste, go for it.

      I had that issue at the beginning. I found that it was a balance between how far the valve was open and how far the the nozzle was in the liquid. I watched a few videos of professionals using commercial machines and tried to copy their actions.

    • @Tata-iu3fy

      It is supposed to steam the milk by pushing steam into the drink. I would return it if it is not heating up your milk.

    I got this machine and i use bustelo coffee and the result tastes and smells like alcohol idk why, has this ever happened to you???

    • @cupchanger
      @cupchanger  5 лет назад +2

      Yes, that is why I use espresso roasted beans and I grind them in the store. The particle size and how long they are roasted makes a huge difference in this machine. If the particle/grind size is too small it'll plug up the machine, if they are too large the resulting flavor is bitter. On my first try, I tried Folgers and the result was terrible.

    it's a real pain in the butt ; found an extra keurig that froths milk perfectly every time ; sorry but just bought this when my keurig broke and now using my son's keurig till i can find a new one . Too much effort and not a very good latte after all that effort . keurig rules for lattes ; that's the simple truth.
