I believe you can get fans for the skid steers.

It wasn't terrible honestly except when I was sitting in the sun. I will keep that in mind though.

You make me miss hay season. My last summer baling in eastern Oregon I made, loaded and hauled over 1300 bales of grass, alfalfa and pea/oat round bales. 16-18 hour days for two months. I'm not complaining. I really did have a good time. Back then, I could run for days on coffee, eggs and bacon.

That my friend is a lot of bales, I dream of being that large of an operation some day but it will have to be when I retire from the army because I don't know that I could pull that off working full time and farming after work. I'm sure you have some amazing memories and let's be honest you don't farm I'd you don't enjoy it.

@@FreedomFarmsMo My memory is playing tricks on me. I'm pretty sure I thought it was miserable at the time. But I loved eastern Oregon, working at the foot of Kiger Mtn, flying up to the top of the hill to see wild horses, hundreds of elk, mountain sheep, giant mule deer bucks, and so much open space I could feel the lure that called to the settlers who braved the Oregon trail. Bale hay from midnight to 10 am. Fuel and service that tractor. From 11 am to 6 pm, pick up the bales on three trailers, each carrying 8 bales. When I got caught up to one day of baling left, I'd jump into the swather and lay down hay for the next week. I'd have dinner in the big house with the folks that owned the ranch, and then sleep a couple hours and do it again.

It sounds beautiful to me! I'm sure you are right and you were miserable at times but the imagery sounds amazing

Have you ever had the gooseneck ball get bent because of that hay trailer? We had one get bent, but the B&W gooseneck ball seems to have a longer neck and worked just fine

I have never bent a gooseneck ball in my life. That gooseneck ball is rated for 30,000 lbs. If it gets bent from a trailer tilting like that you have bigger problems with that gooseneck ball.

A city slicker clearly built that front gate! lol

I don't know who built it but I assume they didn't own a trailer longer than 25' 🤣

Hey Hulk! I was very tired that day. We stayed up pretty late moving hay for Jason the night before. It is a busy time but it is so much better with neighbors that work together. I can't wait to be a full-time farmer and not have to split my time between my job and the farm but I would still rather do my job than Chrissy's too 😁

Ummmm .... my ACs really nice in MY non American Skidloaders by John Deere .. jus sayin 😉 .... I also don’t miss hauling round bales. Please send Chrissy for Semi Hauling Lessons on wide turns

😂 I'll suffer through nthe heat to avoid riding in John Deere skids. I like the round bales for their ease of feeding but not for their hauling complications. Chrissy actually swung as wide as she can there. Our driveway opening between the posts for the gates is what makes getting in our driveway with long trailers so difficult. I keep saying in gonna move those posts out wider I just haven't done it yet.🤷‍♂️
