Daily driven 9s Supra gets back to the track | fullBOOST

We've featured this Supra from G-Force Race Solutions previously on fullBOOST. Gerardo had the Toyota back at Heathcote Raceway recently since major track works have been completed. Combined with some small fine tuning of the car setup, it resulted in a new personal best time. The Supra still retains a stock bottom end 2JZ engine as well as a factory stock Toyota A340 transmission and rear end.

An auto and some good drag tyres really helps the supra at the drag strip. A friend of mine had a manual supra with over 550kw at the wheels (street tyres) couldnt break into the 10s. Had a sick sound system though!

these gearboxes can be soooo good, had a jz80 supra and one weird thing is that it closes the throttle body either partially or fully for a split second while shifting, my stock bov used to go off even when foot was flat just for a split second! hence the DSG-like fart on shift in this supra i think! Maybe to stop overboosting and extra wear on the gearbox? either way im so glad some one is proving they are good! what a an amazing and solid street car build!

It has a converter yes but the box is stock.

Yea they claim that auto breaks at around 500 crank hp. Guessing due to too much torque at low rpm. This guy is putting down 770 whp which is about 930 crank hp ... and its holding.
Baltic Supra also went low 9's on stock auto and diff and axles as well.

Stock auto with a stall, mv shift kit, trans cooler. It's all in the custom trans tune.
Mines similar making 528rwkws.
