I collect and restore really old fans... theirs nothing like the build of these old ones.
My oldest to date is almost 100 years old!
And the fan I use everyday is a 60 plus year old Sears and robuck fan.. the thing works great.. and moves a ton of air.
Yes
I just found the exact same fan for $5 at a yard sale. going to try to restore mine wish me luck!
Amen...
VERY NICE RESTORATION
Excellent work.
Muito bom, ficou show de bola!!
Looks good thanks for sharing... but I see that everyone is and expert. For an old fan as crusty as it was it came out nice . Thanks for sharing
Isso é um prazer não um trabalho recuperado essas jóias.
Awesome job!!!!
Thank you for sharing your work.
It's looking awesome but if you would have painted the blades , it would look much better and awesome
BTW good restoration
Looks nice and it works!!
nice job! the fan in the video is the worse piece of crap i've ever seen. so far, i've restored 5 hunter fans like the one shown. i always sandblast as many parts as possible ( NOT the motor)a good idea is to draw a diagram of the 3 speed switch & the choke & capacitor. 1/4" plywood wrapped with felt will make a good bottom plate. cloth cords can be purchased from amazon or ebay. after 52 years, i can't stop!
*Zehr gut! Ловкий шельмец!*
Muito bom 😎🇧🇷🇧🇷😆
That's pretty good! Parts of the video might come in handy, 6 years ago I got one with a different guard design at a antique store, and the only major problem I notice with mine is a greasy mess in the oscillation gear box, and the oscillation mechanism not turning. Also is it normal for them to slow down a tad bit after running for a certain amount of time?
Just keep it oiled and it should be fine. : )
Great video thanks no music ha ha 😍
Hi Mr. NVC 👋👋👋 very very good restoration table fan 👍👍👍🔥💣
Wonderful...
I have one like that been using close to 20 years. Motor is starting off slow but then comes up to speed. Any recommendations
Have you tried oiling it? If you have not oiled it regularly, it could help a lot. These motors should really be oiled every 6 months or so with either Zoom spout oil, or 3 in one motor oil. There are oil holes in the front by the shaft, and in the back. If that does not help, the capacitor could be going bad as well and needs replacement.
The Condition of this Antique Hunter Table Fan now?
Love your restoration ..but i give you 50/100 ....the painting is so bad......i think you should use the use a good spray..that spray like cheapest...after you filler then use primer then use sand paper again to smooth painting coat...the body i think you should use the light colour example like white....its nice...then the cover, and what name that spin fan...you dint use polishing.....
Thanks
você é fera ficou dez
very good
Great video! Do you have a good source for small gears? I'm trying to find a gear for a Manning Bowman Model 41 fan. Thanks.
Interesante. mis saludos fraternos desde Venezuela
restoration: the final state is greater than the original rusty condition.
rebuild: disassemble and replace everything new.

Good 👍👍👍
great job..but wondered why you did not clean up the wiring to the switch?
...or oil the bushings? Maybe you did that off camera?
A simple rebuild that could use a "finer" approach toward your end product. I would rate this a B- in restoration value.
Take a look at my old philco ford tv.
Wiring from the motor to the base should have been sleeved. It looks terrible the way it is. Overall a good rebuild/restoration... 8/10
Not your best work, but still enjoyable to watch. 😉👍
Las cosas de antes si que se hacían para durar.
It was definitely “fixed” before you got it because the original capacitor was replaced with a crappy table fan capacitor.
Your fan is probably from the 1950s-1960s.
Wow
Τέλεια η επισκευή του ανεμιστήρα .
Good 👍
Why didn't you paint the fan?? Great job 💝

Congrats, the fan works! Not a "great" restoration though. Sorry.
