Garissa county leaders defend DPP Haji’s nomination to NIS

A section of leaders from Garissa County have dismissed civil society groups who have come out to reject the nomination of Director of Public Prosecution Noordin Haji by President Ruto to head the spy agency saying the group had a personal vendetta against Haji.
They defended Haji saying he followed the law when he dropped high profile cases involving top government officials.
Speaking in Ijara constituency during the official inauguration of Masalani municipality, the leaders promised to rally other like-minded MPs to ensure his nomination is approved in parliament.
They said Haji's nomination was a clear indication that the President had trust in him and that his integrity was not in question.
