Displaced Palestinians in Gaza believe that the destruction caused by Israel's war on the Strip is worse than the Nakba.
A Palestinian psychologist Atef Shakfa said that the war on Gaza was planned years in advance and will have "far-reaching long-term repercussions."

As a result, some 180 Palestinian communities in rural areas in the occupied West Bank have no access to running water, according to OCHA. Even in towns and villages which are connected to the water network, the taps often run dry.

Operation Cast Lead in 2008-9 damaged or destroyed 11 wells and four reservoirs, along with pumping stations, a sewage treatment plant, 19,920 meters of water pipes, 2,445 meters of sewage pipes, and sections of the electricity network vital for wastewater treatment. Operation Protective Edge in 2014 inflicted more damage on wells, water reservoirs, wastewater treatment plants, desalination plants and pumping stations.

The militias killed 1:4 civilians for every 1 soldier, police officer, and armed security. From that ratio it's very obvious they were definitely targeting the latter, not civilians.
Besides, we still don't know (and probably never will) how many off-duty IDF were at the rave, where they'd be expected to have their weapons on their person.
Remember that Gaza's civil leadership did not know about the raid ahead of time.
