Valid criticisms and fair review. I come from more of a joystick background as well, and I thought the Shiokenstar layout with the 30mm normals helped me transition faster. All the same, I still prefer joysticks at the end of the day (even after acknowledging all the cool stuff you can do with all-button controllers), so it is what it is. Still, these Micros are fun little units and the portability cannot be topped. Somehow have missed your content up to this point, but will have to go through your backlog!

I recently ordered and just received mine, in terms of device recognition I didn't have any problems since it came with instructions to set the pcb to a console selection mode. I don't know if this was a previous option at the time of this video but I absolutely love using the snackbox everywhere I go for almost any device.
I bought the 2023 micro xl back in January and it only took probably around 3 weeks to get it. They are especially in high demand now though with all the fighting game releases this year hence the long ass waiting times now.
Bro I'm super super mad I just received my Snack Box a few days ago and yesterday I received my artwork but when I was removing the screws I noticed that they had a lot of wear like if the guy who assembled it was rough on the screws so I had a bad feeling, so I started removing them and I had a hard time with 4 of them but unfortunately the last screw wouldn't come out it was super tight and I used the correct screwdriver I had a lof of them I work on cars.. Anyways the last screw is already fucked up the quality is terrible that the screw already lost its shape so there's no way to remove it I already tried using a band and tape but didn't work because the screw is so small. I'm super mad I paid $300 and waited foerever to receive a product like that? I already filed a claim on their Discord but so far I haven't received any response. 😕
Good to know about the non steam game issues, I use steam controllers for playing casually and they're a nightmare to configure with microsoft store games' DRM

Quick question, the "hood dream" is to get a Victrix but I was debating on whether to go leverless or levered. Do you have some input having spent time with leverless controllers? I have never used a leverless control and I don't think going that hard on my first one would be wise.

Just switch the micro switch the standard are red kahli switches you can RUclips and check it out(( youtuber hush my sweet ))talks about the switches themselves I recommend checking it out if your planning on getting snack box really helped me out
does this or the other snackbox work on ps5 games? my original hitbox wont and unfortunately they're taking too long while sf6 is right around the corner
It does work with the new PCB but I believe at this moment it is sold out. I would recommend using a converter for your HitBox or replacing the PCB on it.
Just bought my Snack Box and hearing your issue out the box being a bent pin on a hotswap switch is so nice to hear. As someone who has a history with custom mechanical keyboards (the snack box and mechanical keyboards use the same hotswap functionality) a bent pin is really easy to fix. Your criticism is 100% valid though. Excited to get mine, great video.
If you had an issue with it you could have contacted them. Thier customer service is great. When I mentioned in the discord I had to bend the USB-C port to get the cable in they sent me a new board.
I hope they send me a new case because the case of mine it's already fucked up one screw won't come out so it's impossible to open it and add my Artwork so dissapointed

how does it feel double tapping on the snackbox keys? does it feel off at all or fairly similar to the sanwas?
It feels like i'm typing on a mechanical keyboard. The concave feeling on the button is a different experience. Nothing beats sanwas.
