Hi Arif, thanks for this video, I'm in tech consulting right now 1 yr of experience but eventually in the future would like to have my own business ( cafe, hospitality management, real state, still deciding tbh) and I'd love to move to the UK. Would you recommend applying for MiM instead of waiting 2 more yrs for MBA?

Hey Arif , I am into software (1.8 YOE) in India , I am planning to do MiM from UK but many people have advised against doing an MIM , they argue that it is a very generic course and warn that I will be spineless and confused after completing it , like it won’t set me up for any roles in management? Is this true ? I want to go into strategy /Product/ consulting will I be able to make the switch ?

Well from what I’ve seen at the present moment, both countries have decent jobs for international students but how its gonna be in 1-2 or 3 years is still a mystery.
Im student of Agriculture from Nagpur, Maharashtra. I dont have any work ex. as my college doesnt allow for jobs or even internships during curriculum. I am currently in final year of my btech degree, I had few doubts about mim program, main doubt is that if I do mim from top institutes like yours and want to come back and work in India itself, I wanted to know if companies in india are accepting the mim degree as they accept mba one?, if no then how much is the difference?... Currently I have 1.5 years of experience in Digital Marketing and CRM Retention. I am confused between moving ahead with a specialised masters program in Marketing or a general Mim course. Fall 2024 that would be age 27 with 2 years + experience in the batch.

There are lots of information on the web but the only route I would suggest you is talking to students who did MiM from the top schools around the world - LBS, ESSEC, HEC, ESCP, and so on. Ask them about their experience and if they were satisfied with their path or not. You can contact them all using LinkedIn

LBS Imperial UCL Edinburgh Manchester all these are great places to do MiM in the UK. Best one will depend on your career aspirations

Iam finishing my graduation , but it will take an extra 1 year for me to complete my graduation because of an existing backpaper, and I will turn 22 at that time . Is it better for me to go for mim because another 3 years of work experience means I can only apply when iam 25 that seems too long and I just want to kick off my career ?

France only have 1 year stay back option, Germany have 1.5. Thats way too short
Nope, France has a 2 year stay back option for Indians and ppl from a few other countries

Those are French schools and not European. France schools despite being world's best are ignored a lot

Yes that can be counted as work experience. But it doesn’t matter so much because if you want you can still pursue MiM

In canada mim is for 12 month and in us it is for 24 month am I correct?
It depends on the school. Some schools have it for 12, while some for 16 or 24 months. It doesn't necessarily depend on the country but yes the trend is 1-2 years in North America, 1 year in the UK and 2-3 years in Europe.
Which specialization in MIM is the best and worth doing ? any suggestion ?
Every one has different needs. A person interested in marketing wouldn’t benefit from doing a specialisation in Finance and vice versa

Yes but be mindful of the schools you apply to. Not every school generate consulting graduates. I’d recommend LBS, INSEAD MiM for consulting.

Hi, I graduated in mechanical engineering but I'm still not working so I don't have work experience yet . I applied to a lot of universities in the UK for( MIM)and the USA ( Engineering management). I got into the university of Bristol for 1 year MIM course specialization in project management I am not sure if I should go for it cause I need an immediate job after graduation to payback my education loan. Is there good scope for MIM in uk interms of job prospective?
UK in terms of jobs is a bit unstable right now but situation should improve in a couple of months or maybe by the end of 2023

1. I have 2 more trimesters left.
2. The salaries range is 40-60K Euros in France, Germany, and other places where students typically find jobs after MiM
3. You will get all information about double degrees and exchanges once you get into ESSEC.
4. It is quite subjective and there is no one right answer

Is doing an MIM now a good idea considering the global economic status and Europe's situation?
Well, it depends on what's on the other side. If you feel your job is secure enough and that there's 0 chances of you getting fired then by all means continue that. From what I see, there are still good number jobs available in France, Germany and other countries for international students so doing an MiM according to me is still a good option
