The last scene of this episode is the most epic, unintentionally hilarious thing I have ever seen on this show. Every detail would have been over the top on its own, but together it's just so-bad-it's-good perfection. The men climbing down from the ceiling like spiders. The badly choreographed fighting. Massimo roaring at the motorcycle. Brooke in the flying cauldron. Ridge falling into the furnace. And Sheila's understated "Goodbye, Ridge." 😂🤣😂 I can't even express how much I love this scene.
I had stopped watching B&B already by this time but I remember hearing about this storyline back in the day from a friend telling me how bad the show had become but she really undersold the unintentional comedy. 😂
@annie you don't need to express how much you love it. 😅 It's perfectly clear. Later I will watch the entire episode one more time. Too much fun. I love cartoon ❤
They obviously didn't spend time or money on choreography but couldn't they have spent some on Brooke's hair and makeup? She looks just AWFUL in this scene! Meanwhile Sheila, Ridge and Nick all still look good despite the "dirty" makeup.
Listen... Sheila has escaped from prison, been on the run, apparently learning Spanish and managing a gang of foreign kidnappers in the jungle... And she STILL looks more well kept than Brooke BEFORE this whole kidnapping happened...
I love how SheIla is so upset about Ridge’s death, the thing I can say to her defense is that she always had a heart deep deep deep down, she never wanted to really hurt, let alone kill people unless she had to or thought they deserved it
And even these movie adventure like episodes didn't bring the viewers back after Taylor's death. We tuned back in all for nothing when they ruined her character in 2005.
Interestingly, at this point the show seems to be playing with the idea of kiIIing off _both_ Stephanie's and Sally's firstborns. First there was Macy and the chandelier, and now Ridge and the furnace. @Nick has said before how these two characters are the "crown prince" and "crown princess" of the Forrester (or now, Marone) and the Spectra family respectively, and both occupy the position of being their mother's "goIden child". Right now, it seems as if Ridge is the one who will die (or is already dead). Macy is in a coma, which to most soap viewers means that she is expected to wake up eventually. But there is a twist, and instead it is Macy who dies and Ridge who lives.
Nice connection between the two firstborns! And they both meet this death threat by falling (Ridge seems to fall into the furnace, Macy under a falling chandelier). Also these two princes suffer from bad storylines that undermine their status. The Massimo retcon makes Ridge no longer the Forrester golden boy and Macy's infertility means she can't perpetuate her family line. And both of the family "spares" benefit as a result: Thorne has now replaced Ridge as Eric and Stephanie's only son and Darla (who you'll recall I placed in the Thorne position within the Spectra clan) will now be elevated to Thorne's main love interest, thus replacing Macy.
@@NewYorkNick0607 Yes, I remember your point about Thorne and Darla! And Darla will in fact finally be elevated to Spectra daughter status (with Sally and with Thorne), while Thorne will _still_ just be the second son. 😂
@@NewYorkNick0607 You know, only thing is, with Thorne, even being the only son of Eric and Steph, he can't ever seem to fill the "golden boy" position in the family or in business. Thorne eventually turns to recurring status, darla also will be gone. Thorne's daughter (the only actual blood grandchild of Eric's) doesn't even last.
Cracking up at the split screen in the comments between the people who get that this episode is laughably bad and the ones with no taste who are like, "This is so exciting!" 😆
It's a shame that Young & the Restless isn't uploading classic episodes. Sheila's next storyline over there from 2005 to January 2006 is one of her best, and makes this nonsense seem like the fever dream it is. Beyond the madness of tricking Sugar into having plastic surgery to become her doppelganger, she has a wonderful moment of self awareness and despair in her hotel room where she *almost* realizes what she's doing is wrong, before she doubles down like always
@-Lily7415 yes! I always loved the end of that story with her and Lauren trapped in the bomb shelter. Since the Pheila story has been retconned as an impostor when Sheila returned to B&B in 2017, it also means their last canon interaction was Sheila saving Lauren's life by lifting her out of the collapsing shelter
Ridge was a real hero rescuing Brooke from the cauldron. What I don’t understand is why he continued holding onto that rope since he was standing on that upper platform. It just doesn’t make any sense because he wasn’t hanging in the air and the break in the rope is what caused him to fall into the fire behind. Am I crazy or did anyone else notice this?
Brooke makes everything about herself.. She could possibly save herself but then how could she get Ridge's attention that way 😂 In fact, if Brooke had listened to Massimo and stayed in the hotel, she even be there in the first place to be in danger... Went and got herself kidnapped unnecessarily 😂
Sheila is more concerned about Ridge's life than Brooke. Look at the way both reacted. KB is the talented one. And here she is still a super natural beauty.
And there are still people today who judge Steffy for not wanting Sheila in her life. Sheila has committed more crimes than a criminal who is serving 50 years in prison, but she is still walking free.
@feuerwehrluetzen Babe, hush yo mouth. Steffy is a spoiled brat and Sheila is her karma. Sheila didn't kill anyone here, Ridge fell to his doom by playing Tarzan. 🤣🤣🤣
@@Tanya07709 Sheila didn't kill anyone? You don't know Sheila's story. You should go back to the old episodes before you talk. She shot Steffy's mother and Brooke, which meant that Steffy had to grow up without her mother for years. Here she kidnapped Ridge, which almost caused him to die on his honeymoon with Brooke. Sheila shot Steffy and Finn. It later comes out that she killed someone in her past. So yes, she is a murderer. Nobody wants to have someone like that around them and that has nothing to do with being spoiled. Only Hope is a spoiled brat, her mother made sure of that.
The chandelier incident just happened, and already Deacon has _two_ women flghting over him. 🙄 What is with the writing for Bridget, anyway? Now suddenly she seems to be on Deacon's side when just a few weeks ago, she was siding with Rick and Amber against Deacon and Macy. And she's in love with Oscar but seems kind of interested in Deacon too. I am not even going to try to make sense of this.
Bridget is supposed to be the good girl character that wants to heal/change another person, .... the kind of doctor that feels so deeply that she then even falls for/in love with her patients. 😅😂 But yes, in a way it it still ridiculous because Bridget over the course of some episodes went from loathing Deacon (at FC) to supporting Deacon (over Amber) to suddenly feelings so sorry for Deacon and becoming interested in Deacon again. And I said it before, her brother Rick in the meantime has to deal with his suffering (losing his son, the end of his marriage) on his own.
I know, but given the ongoing nonsense about people's relationships, I would've preferred a triangle with Bridget Amber and Deacon. Amber is acting just like Brooke, suspicious and aggressive. Bridget is, maybe, pretending she doesn't care about Deacon in a romantic way .
Now I guess Macy no going to recover Amber going to be with Deacon because of little Eric Massimo trying to play Superman for his two sons and daughter in law what a hot mess😂
Brooke doesn't need to hate Sheila. Sheila helped her to stay in Ridge's life when she switched the sample for Bridget s paternity test. She shot Taylor and made Ridge available.
