This is only relevant if you have the Powertec bench, but I found that by inclining the rear backrest 1 stop helped to simulate a flat bench, that being said, raising the bench itself is the better option, you could also do prone rows with the lever arms and the bench raised on those platforms.
You’re right! Before I sold the Powertec bench, I tried a few different settings to find the most natural way to simulate the flat bench and what you mentioned works well. Also, I think the Powertec bench pad is oddly shaped and in need of a re-design.

Not that I am training for powerlifting or anything but do you have any thoughts/ideas on how to do deadlift on these things? The deadlift on these lever arms is a little awkward. With the lever arms in the bottom position, it’s more like a rack deadlift, but it’s more of an arcing motion than a straight line of pull. Hey when the bands do the Fly movements is it a good comfortable movement and do the bands provide enough pump or burn? I've spent quite a bit on accessories so don't want to spend more if it doesn't feel great.

Bands are presently on sale at a few places for $6-$7 a piece (depending on the tension). Even if you don’t like them for flys, they can be used for incline and shoulder presses on the Levergym. I use the 41” red ones the most and when attaching bands to the Levergym and doing flys, make sure it is properly weighed down.
Do you have a Hack when doing the bench press so you can start at a high position and not start low with having tension already on the movement if I explained it clearly enough
I definitely understand what you are saying. The reverse band helps some. Also, I have not made one, but with a 2x4 and a little engineering, a piece can be crafted to fit over the safety pin and under the arms. I have a question about the chest press. What is the correct lying position? When I grasp the handles, do the hands have to be at chest level? Or below or above?
I have the handles lined up with the center of my chest for the flat press. Now, that may be different if the bench isn’t elevated (I don’t flat press on the Levergym unless the bench is elevated).
All your hacks are very good. I'll be using some of them. However, I'm a little hesitant with the dips and the ab hack cause that's a lot of weight and pressure on a single little bar that is propping the arms in place. Can it take the weight?

Once of the great hacks you presented is simply drilling another hole atop so that the upper arms can be put back behind the machine just in front of the wall--seems like a No-brainer !!

Elevating the bench on plyo boxes? Absolutely. The Powertec bench is just a heavier bench than the one I am using in the video.
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews Thx. my friend ! Your video's are terrific--the only thing I think you need to work on is Audio quality in many of them. Many Blessings !!
@@jeff6899 Thank you! And I agree. The high-ceiling garage with stall mats on the floor creates a lot of echo so I’m still trying to figure out the right voice level among other settings. I appreciate you watching and thanks for the feedback.
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews You bet, friend. I appreciate your honest response...and your thorough, honest reviews ! I have been looking to buy another Powertec...maybe the levergym...for a couple yrs now. I have a very old but still highly functional single lever late pulldown from Powertec. Once of the great hacks you presented is simply drilling another hole atop so that the upper arms can be put back behind the machine just in front of the wall--seems like a No-brainer !!
Why do u care about breaking the squat bar pieces when sitting on it? If it’s strong enough to squat 500 pounds ?
Yeah, it’s definitely not anything I need to be concerned about.
Is the tension constant for the pulley?
I think it feels consistent. Because of the arc of the arm, it’s not as consistent as a carriage that slides on vertical guide rods, but I’ve been using this for 2.5 years and don’t notice much of a difference…if any at all, between the Levergym and my other Pulldowns.
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews thank you for your fast response💪
@@quagmire9096 glad to help. I have some newer videos on the Levergym if you want to see the machine in action more.
Can leg press be done with this machine?
I have tried a couple of variations and nothing I have tried is solid enough for me to record and recommend.
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews can u please add it tho on pt 4?
@@lalalalalala8314 if I do a Pt 4, I will include it...but mainly to show that it’s awkward and lacks effectiveness. Believe me, I wanted a leg press motion to work with this machine so that I didn’t have to buy a stand-alone leg press, but lala, when you get your Levergym, you will see what I am talking about.
@@HomeGymHacksandReviews dangg ok i will wait ✋😊
