I have a big, beautiful Turkish Van male. He can and does climb everything, fearlessly, and no matter how tall. He is extremely intelligent and follows me a lot and is playful. He is just a wonder!
I have had cats all my adult life and by far my favorite was my white, blue eyed Turkish angora. Whatever I was doing around the house he was interested in and followed me around all the time. And that beautiful, silky fur !!
My beautiful Grace is, I believe, a white, blue-eyed Turkish Angora. Slight and delicate. She was found outside under a set of stairs with a beautiful, fluffy, white baby boy. Being a teenage mother, she must have gotten pregnant during her first heat, and when I got her from the vet's office she was scrawny and short-haired, and had already been spayed. Her baby was in better shape than she was. He was white and fluffy and very healthy. Pretty sure she was malnourished after being pregnant and nursing at such a young age. All of her energy had been invested in that baby. She was originally supposed to be the clinic cat, but was getting into too much trouble; thus, she was on display in a cage, for sale, and looking so very forlorn as her baby had been sold and she was alone in the crate. I was not looking to get a cat that day. Not at all! In fact, I was at the vet with my little dog when I came across her. It was love at first sight. There was no question, this pathetic little creature had to come home with me. She blossomed and filled out, and I was so pleasantly surprised her fur grew long and beautiful. She sports curly hair under her neck and on her belly. Eleven years later, she loves to sit on my lap whenever she can. Such a special kitty! I was so blessed to stumble upon her. Baby Girl!
When I was in Turkey for the first time I was amazed by their love of cats. Also many "public" cats (I wouldn't say strays since everyone takes care of them) looked like they had white angora blood.
I truly believe my cat is a mix of both the Turkish van and Turkish angora.. love him to pieces
Thanks for watching 😊

Love my Van, Nala!
Ooh, nice name, thanks for the comment 😸👍
@@welovecats7287 a beautiful cat deserves a beautiful name!
I own both.
That's great 👍😸
What differences do you notice between them?
Turkish Van's also are 5000 years old.
Our cat was found as a stray kitten and has traits of both. Could he be a mix?
Yes, he could be or that could just be his personality. It also depends on if he looks like both breeds.
