    and FYI I set up my 80 acres after watching all your videos, I was mad because I set it up all wrong , it took 2 yrs to complete, had to pull box blinds and stands out of the center of property, get rid of a food plot, make a travel corridor thru nasty wet swamp that parrelled my border, logged off all my poplar and mature red pine which is about 22 acres in total. darn near clear cut and immediately I noticed a difference in hunting and its only been 2 growing seasons for regeneration, the deer do not know im there, (except for that one access issue you helped me with) and im still seeing good 3.5-5.5 yr olds in daylight in western mi. thanks again..

    Uhhhg! That’s how I felt. We chose not to do a food plot. Left Feeling stumped deciphering a.m. or p.m. stand. I’ve been working on clearing a trail around the perimeter of the property hoping next year I’ll get into better walking situations lol TYJ! (Jesus not Jeff 😂) You Folks Rock.

    Agreed. Shot my biggest buck in Ohio after I got dropped off with a utv. I was the third guy to get dropped off. Several hours later saw two bucks and got the second one. Now I’m trying to set up a property in S.E Ohio. Hard access and odd changing winds. Just hoping my youngest daughter gets a good one. Thank you for great info.

    I luv it the crying baby set up. I had blinds for my boys to go out with and it was some of most memorable hunts with their reactions to animals as they came in. Happy New Year to all!

    okay, thanks Jeff, I am not on the food I am 75-125yds away (depending on which stand,) on travel corridors as you recommend, and the deer movement would not cross my track till they get to the food plot.. so i can go thru food plot early mid day to access 3 different stands in that area and slip out the back door *property line* after dark,, I have a river and bedding along part of the property line, I have to cross etc, and the deer are there during daylight. so I was always wondering about that,, thanks for everything

    Screening for food plots, what suggestions for 1/3 acre plots cut into a wooded parcel? Seems switch grass might not work due to lack of full sun,

    Great video. You always mention high percent of evening stands being a bad sign - what if 75% of stands are morning relating to bedding? Is this a negative?

    Is red osier dogwood to high-quality of a food attraction in your cover?

    Will your screening mix work at redirecting a main deer trail? New hunting area and only access is along a major trail.

    My cabin is 135 yards away from our food plot through a 10-12 year aspen stand. Would this be considered hidden? I’m also going to screen it

    Jeff, so if you access thru your food plot mid day, can your scent blow thru the food plot as you are walking in toward your stand you are gunna set in, thus when you are on stand the scent is blowing to my neighbors open hard woods. and my scent should be next to nothing in the food plot

    • @whitetailhabitatsolutions9751
      @whitetailhabitatsolutions9751  5 месяцев назад +1

      It could. I'm not too concerned with the scent, just there are very few setups where you can walk thru a food plot to get to a stand in the afternoon without spooking deer. I have 16 plots in 2 states and there are only 2 plots that would be appropriate for that kind of access. Just greatly depends on the circumstance. In most cases with most setups, hunters shouldn't be hunting on the food plots they are hunting.
