I’m painting this now, and I am loving. This painting and your personality make this an absolute joy! I’m old. I retired late, and found you to paint with. I am never going to stop as long as I breathe! Thank you! You are my solace, and your family is amazing too.
I love these videos. I’ve been painting my whole life, taught by my mom. I just love how encouraging you are and how you remind everyone to let go of their insecurities and pre conceived ideas about what their artistic experiences should be.
Cinnamon, you have inspired me beyond belief. I suffer from alcoholism. I have over 9 months clean and I fell into a "great depression" and feared drinking. I found your tutorials about a month ago. Every time I paint, the insanity in my mind just STOPS. I have learned to love my art work. My husband and children are thankful for you, as am i. And they understand that time has to be set aside for me to paint and can tell when I am not gwtting enough time. Yu are such an inspiration. Just thank yu for the purest intentions of the soul. ❤
Just did this Van Gogh painting and it turned out fantastic, due to your wonderful tutorials. I have had so many likes and comments on it and will be "gifting" it to my grandson and his wife as a wedding gift. Thank you so much for sharing your amazing talent with all of us. I will try and post my picture on your website if I can figure out where it is.
I can hardly believe this was six years ago! I painted this back then and my cousin wanted it. I've had others ask me for it as well. Watching the video again, I realize how much I still love this painting! ❤ Today just might find me painting it more than once. Thank you, Cinnamon! Your tutorials, your teaching, your heart - all such a blessing!
I remember painting this years ago when I was a teenager and might I say I did a hell of a job..this art session is what made me fall in love painting. Thank You
You are adorable Sherpa ❤️ I painted this several years ago for my Daughter I loved following your lesson . My friend of 50yrs has been over the last couple weeks to watch you and paint 🎨 I chose this one for next week. What you had to say in this video really touched my heart, to this day you still shine a bright light on the lives you touch ❤️ I could never thank you enough for the way you have brought joy into mine ❤️
I have to tell you lady, you are such a blessing. I work as a psychotherapist, and it's pretty obvious that you do too. Art is very healing, and I love how you connect that process with life. I can feel your spirit and your love and light coming through. Thank you so very very much for the wonderful energy you contribute to the world.
Thank you so much! I'm 16 and I've never done a canvas painting before. Growing up I knew I loved art, now I really want to apply myself and start creating more beauty into the world. Your videos are beyond inspiring! You make it so simple and fun, the way it should be. Thank you for being you. Keep the videos coming!! I'll always be a fan.
I don't know if you'll see this but I just wanted to tell you thank you..you are so inspiring and I literally started crying because I realized how much I miss art and painting. I used to do it a lot but was told that it was dumb to pursue and that I would never be successful at it or be able to support myself with it. Now, I'm at college studying something that I hate because it's more "acceptable" . I don't know what the future holds for me, but I hope I can start painting again because I remember how happy it used to make me. This might sound cheesy or lame, but your words meant a lot to me! You're a great teacher and I can't wait to watch the rest of your videos! Thank you :)
***** Thank you for your kind words! They mean so much to me! I'll try to finish the school year (definitely take different classes next semester!) and maybe take some time off... travel, work, find who I am and what I want to do with my life. I don't know where life might take me, but I'm so thankful for those who are so encouraging! Thank you, again. You have no idea how much your kind words meant to me :)
never let nobody put you down or discouraged you..keep painting and you will improve yourself...every day...who ever told you that they are selfish..and egoistic
I to grew up with Bob Ross, he was the reason I paint. When you said happy little seed pods I teared up. Love what you do to inspire thousands of budding artists❤️
I just tried this painting. Well, I started it in July. Finished it today. I struggle a lot with flowers, but I am happier enough with this painting to hang it in my office at work. Thank you Cinnamon for your tutorials.
Just love watching your videos, I am getting the urge to paint again. I can go years without painting , then start up again for a few years and stop. Been that way all my life. I believe I am getting the itch, you have inspired me . Thanks.
Thank you so much for your beautiful spirit! Art is so much more spiritual than people realize, which is why we are drawn to it, why we crave it in our lives. And you bring that across in such a beautiful way! Blessings, Light & Love!
Love how you encourage to put your own sense of self into painting. My husband and I are doing this together.. he is a diesel mechanic and has never painted before and his painting looks amazing ..this has been so much fun and relaxing .. thank you for doing what you do !
I had a blast doing this! I felt Van Gogh's presence at times. I want to dedicate this painting to Ms. Bloom, my high school art teacher who saw something in me way back when!
I don't know how to paint. I combined a piece of cardboard painted with white house paint, a variety box of Martha Stewart craft paints, a 10 dollar brush kit, and this video and made an awesome painting. Thanks, you are a great teacher.
I've been painting for a few years and have often tried to get my mom to loosen up and give it a shot.I just recently discovered your videos and they're just what I needed to help pull her out of her shell. She says your videos make trying to paint less intimidating. Wish I could post a pic of the starry night she created, its awesome! THANKS SO MUCH FOR GIVING HER A NEW PASSION IN LIFE!!!

Lynda my paint stays wet for two reason I am working very fast and painting with professional grades of paint. You can add slo-dri by liquitex to your paint and it will slow it down. There is also a slower drying acrylic called golden open. :)
You are awesome. And I love that you tell us to take a deep breath. I did my first ever painting yesterday with no practice or anything, and I had to take several breaks and deep breaths. Love watching you. Very helpful.
I think this is the oldest of your tutorials that I've followed so far, and it was so fun to see where you've been compared to the present. Also, it was a treat to pretend to be Van Gogh for a few hours (sans all the hard stuff that he lived). Thank you for keeping all these tutorials up and accessible!
I teach school and have for a very long time, you are a wonderful teacher. My painting is perfection. I am slightly a perfectionist and loved your nudges to break free and relax with it. I love love loved the class. If you have more step by steps I am definitely doing. This was exactly like attending a paint class. Great job.
suzanne hunter Thank you so much. I do have more step by steps. There is a playlist of all the tutorials. ruclips.net/p/PLXUkNk1HRolE0W86HjJX8epnE9MFQYa2D
So cool! My hubby bought me a bunch of art supplies for mother's day, because I suddenly had a desire to learn how to paint! I'm starting with much smaller canvases (8x10), so I will wait to try this painting until I step up to a bigger size. Thanks for sharing your talent, & for the incredibly positive life advice💜🎨🌟
candice bergstrom 8x10 is totally awesome! I would use them for the lesson to shorten the video time but they would be too hard to see. I get a lot of 8 x 10s and they all look awesome :)
this was the most holistic tutorial i've seen. it felt like you were teaching a person to be themselves via acrylic as opposed to teaching an art student how to paint. i absolutely loved this, thank you
I love to watch you paint, I can't wait to get back into painting again, I had to take a year off because I broke my back and it looks like I am finally getting my surgery to fix my back this week, and I will be able to it up and start painting again soon. It will be part of my therapy to get me upright again.
I love this painting class!!! I have a friend who lives in TN and she has been to some paint parties and told me how wonderful they are. I'm out in the boonies in north central Kansas and as far as I know there is nothing like this in the area so I really appreciate your videos. Your attitude is refreshing and your teaching style wonderful. Thank you so much for sharing this with us.
Thank you, thank you!! I never dreamed I could paint anything and you made it so easy and delightful; the time just flew by!! I'm not sure how long it should take, but I worked on it for five hours straight! You comments kept me going and kept the brush touching the canvas!! ( I was so nervous). I look forward to doing another soon. You are awesome!
This was my very first Art Sherpa painting!!!! Thank you making me feel like I can paint anything! You have given me the confidence I was lacking! Keep up the gr8 shows, and love love love love love the sippie sippie.
You are my hero!! I just taught a class of 24 middle schoolers how to do your snowman Cardinal painting for the 8th grade fund raiser for their class trip!! they are meant to give the painting to their parents for Christmas.. we raised enough funds to send one child who could not afford the trip the ticket to go. The kids had so much fun and I love you to pieces .. And your children are so cute! Merry Christmas to you and yours!!
This painting is my current project! I began painting a little over a year ago and this is one of the projects I saved on a bucket list both because of how beautiful it is and because Vincent Van Gogh is my favorite artist. Counting my numerous complete disasters I've done around 70 paintings at this point. Some are from tutorials, some are just from using reference photos and a few are just paintings done from my imagination. That said, I'm well aware that I'm still a humble beginner. The more I learn, the more I realize I've only touched the tip of the iceberg. I've watched countless tutorials and you, Cinnamon, are by far my favorite artist to watch and learn from. (I also love to wear colorful, fun hats and tops so enjoy seeing the different ones you wear.) My personal M.O. is to watch a tutorial in its entirety before I start. I'm 68 and only wish I'd started earlier. In high school I took Art I and II and loved it but never pursued it further. But, better late than never.
You are sunshine and tranquility. Peace and Harmony. Inspiration trilling on a rainbow full of colorful advice in a way we can all relate. Ty. For sure I'm going to give this a go!
Hi Cinnamon, I had lots of fun doing this painting. Channeling Van Gogh was a high point! I also enjoyed your commentary about being open to the unexpected. I am trying to do at least two paintings a week all because of you -- and your mom too. What a beautiful family. Huzzah!
What a great job you did at presenting thi to us viewers! You have such a blessed talent and what a awesome personality to boot! I just finished the painting and am pretty happy how it turned out. I just started paining and have only done about 5 or 6 pieces and this one was way fun. Enjoyed watching you and look forward to watching more! Again you are a gem of a person!! sparkle sparkle!!!:))
Simply having this run while I worked on my own painting really relaxed me. Your sunny outlook and relaxed disposition and voice is calming. I'm having fun, but with satire painting (good to get angers out.). Thank you. You're gifted.
i loved skipping through this video and hearing the tone of your voice gradually change - like the deeper and deeper you got into painting the more focused you became, i love that about artists, it's kind of amusing actually! super amazing painting, by the way!
I tried to make the starry night painting few weeks ago... Had not seen this video then... The biggest mistake I did was base coat the canvas with ultramarine and then tried making the stars and moon... The yellow would just not pop up no matter what I did... It just turned greenish and I really struggled with it. I am so glad that now I have come across your channel. U are a great teacher and I am really looking forward to start painting again❣️
After watching the cardinal painting, I still wasn't enthusiastic about attempting one, because I've never done a cardinal, but promised one to a friend. Then just random watching of your videos, I ran across this Van Gogh style sunflower, and especially since he is my fav and with your positive energy making it all look easy and fun, I'm finally inspired!!! Thank you sooo much!😍😍😻❤️❤️😻
Just had the best paint nite at home thanks to you. My fiance and I are both therapists and we loved the idea of using painting to treat perfectionism!
Hi Cinnamon, Thank you so much for sharing your love of art with us! My sister and I just enjoyed a beautiful afternoon making this gorgeous piece of art, and, as you said, we really enjoyed the process. Thank you for being our sherpa - thank you for sharing your knowledge and skill, and please keep doing it! I am learning so much from you and having so much fun doing it! I can't believe I got to be a grownup before I realized how wonderful, creative, expressive, fun, exciting painting can be - and how well I can do it (with your help)! :) :) :)
Cinnamon, I appreciated watching you paint for several reasons. For starters, you are talented! Next, you are so kind and easy going. You love your family and include them. You don't down-grade but instead encourage us to be ourselves. You give us confidence! You are a loving person and your personality is absolutely adorable!! I haven't painted this pic as of yet, but I did watch your whole tutorial on how to and I'm excited to paint it very soon. Take Care and Gid Bless. Happy Painting!!
Great tutorial. I found this after I finished painting a replica. You have me some good ideas and pointers. Now I realize I need to go back and make the stars and mom pop. Thanks!
I had an art teacher in elementary school...she was the absolute worst teacher I ever had. For years I felt like I shouldn't bother being creative. After seeing your videos I am so much more confident in my painting. My 4 year old even enjoys creating with me. I wish I had you as an art teacher. I wouldnt have wasted so many years thinking I had no abilities. You are so full of good vibes and energy. Keep up the amazing work!!!
I am about to rock a number 4 cats tongue on this one. I have been with you for a loooong time and am in a place mentally that your older paintings are hitting me in a quiet place that I need to be. Just letting you know that sometimes the oldies are goodies and they are needed when the lives can be too busy. When depression hits... I find the older ones help center the mind. Thank you for all that you do Cinnamon. Please keep it up. People like myself have been and will be there.❤️
This is by far the best of your tutorials I have watched over the past two years. Its made me excited to paint it and I really enjoyed the calmness of your voice all the way through. I cant wait to paint this. Thank you so much.
I just found this today when looking for some online art classes for my 3 young kids, and I must say...I'm not a painter, never have been a painter/drawer/artist...but I LOVE this and I think I want to give it a try! And you make it seem pretty easy...so we'll see how it goes! :) Thanks for posting these!
Hi, i wanted to thank you for such a beautiful beginner's class in acrylics and ideas! For being so explanatory in your teachings, for working so patiently and slow to understand each step, explanation of materials, tips and ideas. This video has really helped and motivated me a lot into getting back into painting after so many years. I am also a die hard fan of Van Gogh. You're a great motivator and teacher. Once again thank you so very much for doing such a great job.
I'm a beginning painter with acrylics. This is the best video I watched so far. So informative! I am a lot you seem--carefree and easy going. Thanks for the great video!
Thank you so much for this painting! It's truly amazing! I can't wait to try it! I started painting approximately 3 years ago and you were the first artist I started watching consistently on RUclips! I love how warm and friendly you are toward your viewers!
Painting this had been on my bucket list forever. Really glad I got to it. This is really the quintessential #theartsherpa tutorial. Its everything we love about her and more.
You are amazing! Just found you this week. I am a total NEWBIE but have such a desire to paint. You really make me feel like I can do this. Went out and bought some paint and brushes. You are very inspiring. Thank you for your tutorials, your kindness and your encouragement.
My girls night painting group is about to do this and I can’t wait! I love the clear step by step instructions all the way through. She really breaks the painting down into a series of very manageable parts. ☺️
I LOVE this!! Thanks to your Mom for sending me here!! I will start this weekend! I love sunflowers & I can tell you are going to be FUN to work with!! Can't wait!!!!
I love the way you explain things in a way everyone can understand. Decided to go back to some of your old videos and do them so this is my first. Cant wait to share it to Facebook when done!
I sat here and watched your entire process! It was awesome with great instruction. I am so getting some supplies together and my 10 year old and I are going to have a fun homeschool day and do this painting with you.
you inspire me so much, from the step by step, to your personality. im so glad to have recently discovered all your work. please dont stop. sincerly, a new painter. and a little brush @ heart.
Quel plaisir de vous voir peindre et surtout de comprendre vos cours grâce aux sous-titrages. Un joli coup de pinceau, beaucoup d'humour et de talent... Amitiés
I just wanna thank you for your wonderful instruction, very easy to follow, clear step-by-step guidance. I just finished this painting and dont know how to show you :D
Awesome. Glad you painted along. You can share your painting in my facebook group The Art Sherpa Official. If you are not a member you can request to join, just make sure to answer all the questions. facebook.com/groups/TheArtSherpa/ 🎈🌹
Cinnamon, I adore you and John!! I finally painted my cast, following your instructions for this Starry Night Sunflower painting. It turned out so well, I was thrilled! You guys are a ray of sunshine in my life. I'm fairly immobile with my broken foot, but my bed has become an art studio thanks to you. I'm trying to figure out how to post pics to you, guess I will go to your web site. Love and light always. Erin
Wow nice how can you make this, this is awesome to get the best results how did u do it very well for painting and congrats on it l just want to let you know that winning the prize is amazing actually impressive to you, very nice 🙂🙂 GOOD JOB WITH IT
Doing this tomorrow night with the girlfriends for our friend's 60th birthday party. She will have a nice memorable gift (hopefully) that will remind her of the fun we had.
Thank you for choosing the sunflower and starry night subject .ihave really Ienjoyed doing it.It was particularly good for me as it has bright colour and simple shapes.i have macular degeneration which makes life difficult look forward to the next one
Hi Cinnamon, I love your painting posts! I am having fun painting along with your tutorials . your hints are always great lessons as I am having a great time . thank so much!
I just painted this as my first ever painting using my own stuff. Squee! I feel like a real budding artist now. I wish I could post a pic, I'm pretty proud of how it turned out. I used slightly different colors because I'm starting from a "kit" and using what it came with, and had issues with my paint drying too quickly, etc, etc. But I'm excited to get started and see if this is really something I was to "invest" in. Thanks for helping me with my first project. :)
You are so perfect! Thank you for this video. This is my next project. I am used to doing realistic portrait sketches, so when I took up painting again (havnt since I was like 7 painting on cardboard lol), I get super uptight about it, even though I'm a free spirit. I'm desperate to let myself flow and find my groovy. This is the perfect project. Crazy, yet awesome sauce.
I’ve just watched the whole demonstration I think you’re absolutely amazing I love your soul you have in your painting and I love starry night by Vincent van Gogh he is in fact my favourite artist I love him we both have suffered I have Tinnitus and he did too but as yet I’ve not chopped my ear off thank you so much for this wonderful demonstration and I’ve just Gesso’d my board and I’m going to try that this weekend with your help huge hugs to all your family and your lovely little boy what a happy family I have subscribed and look forward to watching your other videos love and hugs from Vonnie in the UK 🇬🇧🥰
You're really funny and alive. It's a great pleasure to see your video. And I like your own interpretation of this Van Gogh's paint. It' so free ! Thank's
I love this painting so much. I did paint this and found that I enjoy a more whimsical style. That discovery had been so important to me because now I can focus more on creating art that makes me happy versus fighting to be "perfect" lol "Perfect" for me is now whimsical.
I paint to get out of my 'left brain work world' where details are so important, so I leave my critic out of the studio and paint freely. It's almost like meditation at that point, which is why I personally do it! Love to you fellow hartists!
This is such a great tutorial! Thank you for posting it. I paint really funky furniture. I tried this on the seat of a chair I'm working on and I love it. Very inspirational stuff!
Spent my saturday in coronatine painting this lovely picture, and as a total beginner had a blast!! Took my mind off things for a few hours and have something beautiful to show for it. Thanks so much for a lovely time and upbeat energy
Hello Cinnamon, I was the luckiest person to find your videos today! You are awesome, clear, open and joyful. I painted this and delighted with how it turned out as I have NEVER painted before. I picked up on your confidence level. Thanks very much!

I look forward to doing another soon. You are awesome!
This was my very first Art Sherpa painting!!!! Thank you making me feel like I can paint anything! You have given me the confidence I was lacking! Keep up the gr8 shows, and love love love love love the sippie sippie.
That is awesome to read ! amazing to read BC4912
Thank you ever so much for your kind words. And it is never to late to start painting and arting. Keep on painting. 💓
This is the first time I've seen this video from 3 years ago and your son is just the cutest little helper! Loved your painting too!
You are sunshine and tranquility. Peace and Harmony. Inspiration trilling on a rainbow full of colorful advice in a way we can all relate. Ty. For sure I'm going to give this a go!
Victoria Snyder OK first love the bunny!! LOVE
Victoria Snyder that's such a beautiful thing to say about Cinnamoncooney, you hit the nail on the head on that Victoria!!!❤️🎨
Hi Cinnamon, I had lots of fun doing this painting. Channeling Van Gogh was a high point! I also enjoyed your commentary about being open to the unexpected. I am trying to do at least two paintings a week all because of you -- and your mom too. What a beautiful family. Huzzah!
+Anita Gille Thank you so much. We are a goofy fun art family.
I'm so amazed at how you just perfectly captured your free spirit on canvas. Loved it, thank you.
+Vishra Patel Thank you
What a great job you did at presenting thi to us viewers!
也
You are such a joyful and positive person and your light sines in your painting.🌻👩🎨🌞
Thank you
Simply having this run while I worked on my own painting really relaxed me.
I just wanted to say thank you for inspiring me to do a Van Gogh inspired abstract work and getting me to work in acrylics!
My fiance and I are both therapists and we loved the idea of using painting to treat perfectionism!
more please!! loved following along and have received soooo many compliments on my own. Waiting for another Van Gogh to follow along with!
Hi Cinnamon,
Thank you so much for sharing your love of art with us! :) :) :)
dunda333 I am so so glad you are painting and having fun. It is just one of the best things in life to make art and be creative! Art high five
I almost finish my painting.. you’re always full of energy with lovely presentation.I love to follow your instruction
Thanks so much 😊
Cinnamon,
I appreciated watching you paint for several reasons.
Thanks!
I did this painting months ago and a friend wanted it and just LOVES it. Thanks I'm a fan.
+Anna Jean Awesome :)
Keep up the amazing work!!!
thank you. I am sorry you had a bad experience in school. Everyone can paint, It is a skill you learn! 💝💝
Wow, thank you!😍
I just found this today when looking for some online art classes for my 3 young kids, and I must say...I'm not a painter, never have been a painter/drawer/artist...but I LOVE this and I think I want to give it a try! And you make it seem pretty easy...so we'll see how it goes! :) Thanks for posting these!
6 years late but how did it go? did you enjoy painting?
+Art by Mudd I am thrilled you think so
Relaxing watching you... Lifting my day to start to paint. Thank you God bless
You are so welcome
Thank you so much for this painting! It's truly amazing! I can't wait to try it! I started painting approximately 3 years ago and you were the first artist I started watching consistently on RUclips! I love how warm and friendly you are toward your viewers!
You are so welcome!💘
I actually love the stage with the white petals looks cold and elegant.
Painting this had been on my bucket list forever. Really glad I got to it. This is really the quintessential #theartsherpa tutorial. Its everything we love about her and more.
Thank you so much 😀 it is that for sure
You are amazing! Just found you this week. I am a total NEWBIE but have such a desire to paint. You really make me feel like I can do this. Went out and bought some paint and brushes. You are very inspiring. Thank you for your tutorials, your kindness and your encouragement.
My girls night painting group is about to do this and I can’t wait! I love the clear step by step instructions all the way through. She really breaks the painting down into a series of very manageable parts. ☺️
I remember painting this when I just started out, still one of my favourite paintings ❤❤

Erin

mitzi sanchez I am so so so glad
Wow!! Thanks Cinnamon ❤. You are my favourite teacher. You always inspire me
You have helped me so much to expand my painting skills. Love your work, your teaching methods, and well everything you do.
Crazy, yet awesome sauce.
i just found you, thank goodness, you are very motivating and fun, besides being a great artist Love your videos!!
+Fay Ingegneri That is wonderful to read :)
Vonnie it is so nice to meet you I am so glad you are going paint this. Hope you have an amazing time
@@TheArtSherpa thank you I’m all ready to go tomorrow is the day have a wonderful weekend you and your family xxx
You're really funny and alive. It's a great pleasure to see your video. And I like your own interpretation of this Van Gogh's paint. It' so free ! Thank's
Thank you that means a lot
I love this painting so much. I did paint this and found that I enjoy a more whimsical style. That discovery had been so important to me because now I can focus more on creating art that makes me happy versus fighting to be "perfect" lol "Perfect" for me is now whimsical.
That is wonderful to read
I so love this one. I am trying to be more free-and-easy with my painting, and this is just the 'medicine' I need. Must try this! Thank you xoxo
+jo prentice I'm Pat H, and I am so tight when I paint I squeek! Hee hee. I keep trying to be loose but it is a real challenge for me.
+Pat Hathaway Me, too!!! Hahahaha. I'm a one-stroke painter, so this is new. And, it's exciting :)
Very cool amy love to see the chair
Once I'm finished I'll post a picture
I absolutely love the way you instruct step by step thank you 😊
Spent my saturday in coronatine painting this lovely picture, and as a total beginner had a blast!! Took my mind off things for a few hours and have something beautiful to show for it. Thanks so much for a lovely time and upbeat energy
💗💗
Oh, your son is too cute!! He's the same age as my grandson by now. He helps me in my art and usually is my inspiration.
+Michelle Faustermann Kids and art go together like peanut butter and jelly
Yes, they do. I am happy to say all 5 grandkids are artists and the 10 y/o has already won competitions.
I'm only 20 minutes in and you've given sooo many good tips. Thank you Cinnamon! You're amazing!
Hello Cinnamon, I was the luckiest person to find your videos today! You are awesome, clear, open and joyful. I painted this and delighted with how it turned out as I have NEVER painted before. I picked up on your confidence level. Thanks very much!
Linda Procida You are so so welcome! I am thrilled you are happy with it
