While Lucas’ idea of leaving the more violent Anakin moments for the holograms made sense and added a lot to the moment Obi-Wan learns the truth about his Padawan, revisiting that scene through a different angle could work. It’s been almost two decades since Revenge of the Sith, meaning that new interpretations or discussions regarding Anakin’s character could always use a new reveal or new scenes. That said, if Anakin appears in The Mandalorian season 3, it should be to serve Grogu’s story rather than to just revisit an iconic Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith moment. Hopefully it won't be long before viewers learn who rescued Baby Yoda from the Jedi Temple.
So far, Star Wars hasn't come close to the cut scene from Revenge of the Sith, although the disturbing flashbacks in Obi-Wan Kenobi - which showed Anakin actually stabbing a Youngling with his lightsaber - came close. The Mandalorian season 3 can accomplish this by revisiting Order 66 from Grogu's eyes. Not only would that add an extra layer to Grogu’s story, but it would also highlight that Anakin’s fall to the dark side was a quick, drastic change in the character.
