- FAST Autobahn acceleration test with the facelifted 2016 / 2017 Audi S1 Sportback delivering 231 hp and 370 Nm of torque through Quattro and a 6-speed manual (weight: 1415 kg). Having a similar engine and drivetrain setup compared to Golf R and Audi S3 it isn't hard to believe that this car is provided serious performance. My shifts are rather conservative this time but I still managed to get a very respectable time of around 20 sec. to 200 km/h. Actually it is quite heavy for its class, it should be about 1200-1300 kg but the performance is awesome.
Muhammed Muhlis Göktaş the renault clio rs trophy have this weight but it's FWD, the audi is AWD, so i think it's very difficult to have this weight on the S1... my 595 Abarth is about 1100 kilos...
I'm surprised that the fuel consumption average did not change for one bit !
probably because it was averaged along a long distance. Which means it's average consimption really is 8.1L, not bad for a 2L 230hp AWD car !

S1 quattro has max power in lower rpm and has more torque. This is different league car whwn you compare with VW engine. S and RS models are developed from quattro GmbH department and and they have not any connections with VW

actually you are 100% correct the S1 has 370Nm of torque, vs GTI PP with 350Nm.... there are indeed a few parts differences on basically the same engine.

Audi developed the 2.0 TSI engines. Doesn't matter if its the Golf GTI, Audi S1, Golf R or TTS or A4 Avant 2.0 TFSI.
The 2.0 TDI however was developed by VW i believe.

Sehr wahrscheinlich ist das "Verbrauch 2". das dazugehörige icon ist leider überbelichtet.

No way this does 0-200 in 20 seconds ''conservatively''. More like 24-25 seconds measured via GPS. Still very nice acceleration but this video gives false numbers.

Bist du in schon bei regen gefahren wie denn Clubsport ? Der hatte da da etwas Traktionsprobleme. Da frage ich mich ob der S1 da dann mehr spaß machen würde.
Erdnussflip Naja bei einem Fronttriebler ist es bedingt spaßig, bei einem Hecktriebler wie meinen ist das was anderes DA will man bei regen fahren xD

I saw a drag race between S1 sportback and Ftype V6 => until 100 the Ftype was 1 car length quicker. not much for this price difference...
PerformancePack I suppose people who buy the entry level Ftype for the sound, and sportscar like performance. And not so much drag performance.

Great, but men this gearbox is short. Almost 5k at 200 in 6th gear. The 6 speed transmission in the "normal" A1 does only 4k at this speed.
Shorter gearing for faster acceleration. It comes at a cost.

1415 kg sind für nen Audi A1 ganz schön happig. Erinnere mich an meinen alten E46 320d, der nicht viel mehr wog, aber deutlich größer war. Trotzdem ist das ein Spaßgerät, zu dessen Preis allerdings genug Konkurrenten auf dem Markt sind.
Ich hab den Harz4-S1, der hatte neu incl. der nutzlosen Bose-Anlage unter € 31.000 gekostet. Zumindest im VAG-Konzern wirds da mit Konkurrenten eng. Aber bei Ford und Renault fand sich da sicher was ordentliches

my s1 3doors 1340kg (tollerance +/- 20kg) with more of half fuel tank tested at work with industrial weighing 😉😀

A1/S1 ist eine andere Klasse als 1er BMW. Der 1er konkurriert eher mit Golf und A3.
EP Europapark Der S1 ist der gegensatz zum (BMW) MINI JCW mit auch 231 Ps... wie zum Teufel kommst du auf denn M140i ? Der ist Golf Klasse also mit dem Audi S3 der Gegensatz und der RS3 mit dem M2
1. Ist der A1 eine andere Fahrzeugklasse als ein 1er BMW
2. Konkurrieren nicht die S-Modelle mit den M-Modelle, sondern die RS-Modelle mit den M-Modellen. Wobei der M140i natürlich kein richtiges M-Modell ist, trotzdem ist dafür eher der S3/RS3 gedacht.
