- Terence Edward Hall (19 March 1959 - 19 December 2022) was an English musician and the lead singer of the Specials, and formerly of Fun Boy Three, the Colourfield, Terry, Blair & Anouchka and Vegas.
Not just one of The Specials, but very special. RIP sir
One of the greatest front man of all times . I enjoyed myself immensely while listening to The Specials and will be for life . love and sympathy from Washington, D.C.
amazing bloke, RIP terry
Rest in peace, Rudy.
Sad news to hear of TH’s passing. I always admired him for not trying to sound black, even though he was in a ska band with fellow black band members.
He was 100% committed to multiculturalism and equality in society. Think we’ve lost another good one.
@@stephen3654 Good music is good music and The Beat made some great music but they barely made a political statement with their music. I think race identity mattered to him (TH) just that little bit more.
He was Jewish (in case you didn’t know) and racism was rampant back in the late 70’s. So he knew about being a minority in society. Don’t know enough about The Beat’s original lead singer I’m afraid. “Too nice to talk to” is a top tune though. The musicianship in that band was amazing.
Wonderful to see a photomontage tribute to Terry Hall. And War Crimes is a beautiful, powerful song, sadly still relevant.
But Terry Hall did not perform on War Crimes, as he had left to form Fun Boy Three
No The Specials were a different band after the Split.
Terry was in FB3 and The Colourfield.
Dammers, who did not do the reunion tour, was behind this lineup.
@@lyramidsummer5508 Yes. I agree. That is why I said Terry Hall did not perform on War Crimes, the song in the video
