"私は最高です" Oni - Street Fighter 4: Omega Mode Combos

  • First I'd like to preface by saying I'm not that godlike. I know how many takes it takes me to do some of the combos in my videos.
    Second, with every combo video, there is an element of deception somewhere. Be it in character specifics, or something in the dummy recording, etc. I'm saying this because there is one particular combo, or sequence that can't be replicated just by going into training mode and doing the motions on the same character. If I specify which combo, I'd feel like I'd have to do that for a lot of them, and I'm just not going to do that. It's not my intention to be deceptive. Any deception that occurs is mostly for the sake of exploration and potential.
    Oni -
    His normals are mostly the same as previous versions.
    New command normal "Mizo Ochi Ugachi", done with b.HP, is a solar plexus punch like Ryu's, but it has armor, and juggle potential.
    New target combo (not listed in the command list) done with f.HP, HP. It's Super, Focus and EX cancelable, but it doesn't combo into super or focus. The 2nd hit causes a launch.
    Specials:
    Tatsumaki Zankukyaku - Light tatsu now hits crouching and causes a vacuum effect, and allows a follow up combo. Medium tatsu feels the same. H tatsu goes upward, and is used in certain combo routes.
    Rakan Dantojin - Light and medium "slashes" start up faster and can be better used from normal combos. They can also be combo'd from, but only in the corner. Light slash causes a knockdown now, while M slash does 2 hits, and the first hit can be FADC'd for continuing a standing combo midscreen.
    Gohadoken has a new EX version called "Fukuma Gohado" done with QCF+LP+HP specifically. It's like a fast gut punch that causes a juggle.
    EX DP "Mu" now costs 2 bars and does a lot of damage and stun.
    EX Gorai Hadoken (Red Fireball) also costs 2 bars now, and has better combo potential both into and out of it.
    Zanku Hadosho (Air Dash) The normal versions all move forward a certain amount depending on strength. Oni can no longer do this from a back jump. The options he had in previous versions are now done with EX and differ depending on button combination. There are 4 EX options, LP+MP (forward), LP+HP (back), MP+HP (up), and All Punches (down). They all do a hit, and can be canceled out of any forward jump normal except MK or HK, into any air normal, or tatsu. Canceling the "up" version into a normal gives Oni the neutral jump versions of those attacks. None of the follow up normal attacks are treated as highs.
    Oni now has Akuma-like demon flips. One special move he had, the ground pound, was removed and repurposed as the Punch follow up to flip. He has a standard Kick option, but not slide. Oni can do his air specials (either the dash or tatsu, EX capable) out of flip. EX flip can be manually maneuvered either left or right, allowing for some funky bait potential.
    Raging Demon can now combo in the air from DP, and certain new juggles, abiding by juggle limits.
    Ultra 1 has a lower height restriction, allowing for different combo routes into it, for better overall damage in certain routes.
    Ultra 2, Now done with QCBx2 + Punches. But I don't know enough about Oni to say there's anything else different about this ultra.

      thank you so much! Yeah I try to make my videos a real experience more than a tutorial or character rundown. Also I recommend watching my Ken video if you haven't. It's probably still one of my favorites.

    seen many omega oni videos but this right here is interstellar…insane combos i have never seen before.

    "EX Gorai Hadoken (Red Fireball) also costs 2 bars now, and has better combo potential both into and out of it." It can also be charged to at least 3 different levels. Level 1 (instant release) is obviously fastest but 180 dmg and stun. Between level 2 and 3, Level 2 is more stun (340), less dmg (200) and Level 3 is more dmg (250), less stun (300). So you can do j.HP, f.HP, HP, Lvl 2 EX Fireball, EX.DP and it's 982 stun. 4 bars and lots of scaling but easy and looks cool.

      Nice. I think I actually had a clip of that combo that didnt make the cut into this video because I didn't like the scaling, and I featured the f.hp tc in other ways. I didn't want to get too redundant with what I show. 👍

      @@Closetgamin eh it all depends on a person's own reasons. I like including easy and hard stuff for the sake of completion. But if somebody just focused on the simple stuff, i feel like it'd be better utilized in a beginner's guide or something.

      Omega is the only version of IV to have a buffer window for normals so it makes a lot of combos much easier to do consistently without the plink.

    Amazing! I know everyone praises desk for his combo videos and I appreciate them too... I've seen his Omega Oni video and in this case, yours completely blows it out of the water!

      Thank you! Yeah the thing about Desk, is when Omega came out, he put out all his videos in like 2 weeks.. or at least in a very small window. So he really crammed the content. And of course I appreciate Desk too, and am in no way trying to outshine him in my videos. There's really just so much to explore, that I wanted to uncover and display in my own way.
