Well done. I was lucky enough to see this in the cinema as a teenager. Mind blowing for its time, and even to this day it hasn't aged one bit.
I don't know if I would say special effects are better than the first film. This film however decided to show you more, rather than hide the Alien.

Good review. However, the production was filled with nothing but spectacular practical effects, many well thought out, that were key to keep the film looking pristine and fresh for all times sake. This film is the last of its kind and until CGI effects are mastered to the elite level, ALIENS will continue to beat out any dramatic horror film produced.
