Amazes me how people don't know period aircraft.

Been there a couple of times, one of the best air museums! You almost need a couple of full days to take your time and do it justice!

The Super Guppy was originally created for the Apollo moon programme to carry some of the completed stages of its Saturn V rockets.

Great museum by the looks of things. Too bad that these jokers don't know much about aircraft. Four and a half stars regardless.

7:05 I sent that aircraft from Carswell AFB, TX (Fort Worth, TX) in 1983. The Crew Chief's name is still on it. (Not me.)

Thanks for the recent tour of Pima. It looks like quite a few more exhibits were added since I was there 18 yrs ago. FYI, blades on a helicopter are called rotor blades. Propellers are on airplanes.
Oh yeah, when that pipe leaks the wheels fall off 😅

You walked right by some of the most incredible and important aircraft in history and didn’t even give them a second look! 🙄

13:58 I believe that gentleman was a B-17 crewman during WW2. I met him when I was there. Bought his book. He signed it for me. I thanked him for his service.

@@zflogo Yes....totally amazing when you think about what they went through. At the end of the movie Memphis Belle they give the statistics on just how many flight crew never made it back. I felt emotional just talking to the man. Things could have turned out a lot different for him. My father was part of the island hopping campaign at the end of the war.
