The thing here is the tv polished the sound a bit as the original recording was filled with the fireworks cracks and it was a bit disturbing so along the way they also completely unnecessarily worked on her voice. She sang it live and it sounded so much more powerful than the final version they published. She is a stellar singer and can pull all that, trust me. No need to react but out of curiosity you can check out this live but any of her performances you might find on youtube will prove my point. ruclips.net/video/jRFtJ_CWUE8/видео.html
Thank you for this explanation. This makes sense. I didn't know anything about the fireworks. They probably edited her voice for continuity, especially if the fireworks were loud enough to have an effect on her mic (idk if it was just 1 or a string of them. But, if it's the latter, it's definitely continuity) It doesn't sound like an exact 1:1 to the released song on her RUclips, so more than likely, it's a pre-recorded live vocal (Which, at least in the US, is basically mandatory to have w/ major televised events. I assume it would be the same in most countries. )
I was sceptical with her dance routine when she showed her rehearsals, but yeah... It was live and it was good, she can do this. TVP (Polish television) polished this video cause there was a lot of fireworks sounds in the background, they did polished her voice a little but there were recorded videos before where you could tell that she singed fully live
Yustyna has been a professional singer for over 25 years Her voice is amazing and powerful This song is a great material for Eurovision This is a life performance and the choreography is perfectly fits in the song Good luck Poland I hope Yustyna will represent you on Eurovision 2024
3:23 It is interesting to me the way many people in English-speaking countries have this issue ,and always strive, in a way, for perfect enunciation. I guess it comes from not being exposed to non native accents, which is completely reasonable. It's just interesting to me as a non native speaker myself. I don't have this issue in my native language, Spanish, but I think it's because Spanish has long words that can be recognized easily, even when mispronounced by other who don't speak it as their mother tongue. English, in contrast, has a lot of of monosyllabic and short words with vowel sounds that may be hard to reproduce by non native speakers.
Funnily enough, I'm in Mexico right now learning Spanish. It is ABSOLUTELY a thing in Spanish speaking countries and literally every country and language. Pronunciation is an important element in learning/speaking any language. It's not just a thing for native English speakers.
Listen to last year winner - Loreen. She was doing a lot of movements too, and performed live with great result. The thing is that Justyna is a very experienced singer. If she showed us this, she wants to go with something similar to the Eurovision. And as we all know, Eurovision is all live so she will be able to do this. Watch her :)
This was great TV for sure - a New Years Eve special. Live/not live/edited? For me the jury is out but we know from her 1995 entry she can absolutely deliver a good vocal. The issue here is the staging which will have to be drastically reduced with the maximum of six on stage at ESC. And, can she dance THAT much and still sing with good breath control? If she can then wow, this could be a moment, certainly... As for the "Jarga Drago Wese" lyrics... they appear to be of a made-up language. Always remember that ESC viewers are not always polyglots and not necessarily fluent in English so it perhaps gives a song an accessible sing-a-long hook. We have had a number of entries in the past where the whole song is in a totally made up language. You should check out Urban Trad - Sanomi from Belgium 2003 - it finished 2nd!!
Bob!!! From some of the explanations, it seems that the audio IS edited. I've gone back to listen to it a few times, and it seems like the mixed 2 different takes together to deal with the firework noise. Stuff like this is pretty common in the US for live performances in major televised events, so I didn't think it'd be such a hot-button issue 🥴 Based on US norms, it's her live over a pre-recorded live audio (more than likely a walk through or something since it's not a 1:1 with the studio version). It's amazing. She was performing at ESC before I was even born!! I'm sure she can deliver an incredible vocal performance, but I have the same questions. To have the capacity to sing at such a level while also doing full out choreography for almost 3 minutes is no small feat. I'm hoping we'll be able to see another live that is unedited! I'll check out the song!
I have watched this performance live on TV and she did sound different then. They edited her vocals for some reason, making a couple upgrades but some of them were really unnecessary cause they make her sound a bit more flat.
YES! Someone gave the link to the original performance. She actually sounds better in that one than the official one! I guess I understand the editing because of the fireworks (which, I don't understand how they went on for a full minute and 30 seconds?????). But, I agree the overall editing was unnecessary! Anyway, thank you for watching and commenting!! 🥰
I think it was slightly improved during the chorus. However she can do high notes without any problem coz she's been doing it forever. Also she's 51 which means she's got a lot of experience.
lol she’s going to have trouble singing it live? You clearly don’t know Justyna. I have never ever heard one missed note from her. She always sounds like a record and the things she can do with her vocals are crazy. Watch “sanktuarium”!
@@siennaxeurovision I hope you didn’t see my comment as an attack. That was not my intention. Indeed, You did say you didn’t know the singer but somehow presumed she’d have issues singing it life. She doesn’t. That’s all I tried to say. ✌️
