Pakistan did the same mistake as India when they prepared turning pitches versus Nz last year.
Such pitches are like lottery because a lot depends upon the toss. Team batting first gains the upper hand. It allows a weaker opposition to capitalise.
Pitch should be prepared such that the toss is taken out of the equation. There should be a good pitch for batting atleast for first 3 days and from day 4, spin should come into play.
Both NZ and WI are weaker oppositions compared to India and Pakistan. No need to give them a turning pitch. A simple wicket would be enough to decide a result in the favour of a strong team.
