@Alisha Yousuf I like Kokichi. I love anti-hero and villain characters especially if the author gives clues that allow me to pick up on hidden motivations and feelings. Kokichi is a character who’s personality and motivations is formed based on who’s looking. There’s one perspective that everything he did was for his own sick satisfaction that he manipulated the game and those around him because he wanted to be the winner no matter the cost. Or It could be argued that Kokichi did care about everyone that instead of winning he wanted to end the game because he hates death and in his attempt to stop the killing game he made mistakes he got desperate and reckless near the end because of his need to catch the mastermind and stop the game that wasn’t fun for him or anyone else. Kokichi is a character thats complicated he’s not a character that I can say is inherently bad or good and that’s why I love him.

he realy did care about everyone but never showed it he tryed to save them all in his own way like kaede and at near the end of the fith class trial shuichi saw that and tried to make kokichi's plan work but kaito decided to play the hero and fucked it all up

REALLY BIG SPOILERS FOR CHAPTER 5 Well actually Maki was the one trying to kill kokichi with a poison arrow but Kaito didn’t want maki to be the culprit so he took the poisoned arrow (the second one maki shot so that means kokichi has one in his arm already) then maki wanted to get some healing so that kaito doesnt die, but kokichi closed the hangar so maki couldn’t come in so maki threw the healing through a gap? And kokichi snatched it from kaito and pretended to drink it so he survives and not kaito, but kokichi didn’t actually drink it and gave it to kaito so kokichi knew he was gonna die anyways (because of maki) so kaito said you saved my life and kokichi planned one of his evil plans to trick monokuma and kill the mastermind? So kokichi pretended to be kaito getting crushed, but it wasn’t actually kaito that got crushed kokichi did it was his plan so kaito pushed the button and killed kokichi (kokichi wanted to do this plan because he was gonna die anyways so kaito was just following his plan not actually trying to kill him) so then he went into one of these excisals (kaito) and pretended to be kokichi so everyone thinks kaito died in that press to trick monokuma but shuichi the smartass said that kaito was in that excisal and the person under the press was kokichi so the plan failed and kaito got executed without doing anything it was kokichis plan to get kaito executed, but he only (kokichi) did that because he was gonna die anyways from maki's poison arrows so the true blackened is actually maki but kaito killed kokichi because kokichi tricked kaito into killing him, I was really mad kaito didn’t deserve it maki shouldn’t have tried to kill kokichi in the first place,,

I feel like whenever Kokichi lied, it was to hide how sad he was. He loved shuichi, shuichi loved kaede. He loved kaito, kaito loved maki. My baby kokichi deserved better
Or that Kokichi was building hatred for himself so that when he decided to pull this that even if it didn't work, they wouldn't be sad over his death. He wanted to reassure himself that nobody would cry over his death, and that they wouldn't have to mourn the loss of someone else. Plus he wanted his plan to work, but goddamn this whole thing hurts.
Sometimes not many people think about it, but- Shuichi is just so strong. He suffered so much, and still had to carry the weight of a whole group on his shoulders, leading, remaining composed so that he could be a stable figure for the others. In the end, he ACTUALLY got to cry just a few times. He had to watch as two of his friends went away like that, and feel like he was the one who actually killed them, by figuring them out. He had to feel like his detective skills weren't actually trustworthy after feeling like he was "the cause of Kaede's death", and after finding out that Kaede partially lied to him about believing in their initial plan, and about thinking that it could have worked out. He had to feel hated by both of his closest friends, firstly from Kaito, after the 4th chapter's trial, and secondarily from Maki, during chapter 5's trial, which only increased his sense of guilt. He felt so helpless when Kaito died, he felt and was abandoned, one more time...and yet, he never acted selfish, neither he acted like he was the main and only victim, even though he was screaming inside, even though he found himself overwhelmed with sadness and tiredness, he stayed strong, kept his cool, and always continued to act selflessly, giving so much time and attention to the others, treating them with patience, respect, and support, almost always putting his own pain aside, staying strong for them. He was mentally and emotionally teared down, but even so, he never gave up, neither on himself or his friends. I think he's an even more selfless and generous protagonist than Makoto (and I love Makoto-). He's so strong, and I stand that strength, because that's what true strength is. I honestly love Shuichi...he deserves to be called less of a crybaby (which he's not) and be given more time and space to cry and let everything out...he really does deserve that 💙🖤
This is honestly an amazing comment. Usually we players don't even realize what these characters are going through when we are playing the game but honestly, when you look back, Shuichi really went through a lot of psychological pain. This comment that you wrote really helps us see Shuichi's perspective in a better way. I couldn't have agreed more with your statements ÙwÚ
Yeah i also love Shuichi for the same reasons, and when i see people on some random websites hating him for no reasons it pisses me off 😭 He did suffer a lot and I hope that after Danganronpa ended, he was okay ^^' 'The pain in my heart is real' i think he said something like that in Chapter 6 during the class trial for discover who's the mastermind, it did hits me so much. I honestly think the saddest death was Kaede’s. She did everything to help her friends and end the killing game, but only ended up with an execution. What makes it worse it that she was aiming to kill whoever was the mastermind rather than Rantaro, and she tried to smile for Shuichi throughout the entire execution. I miss her so much :/…
what hurt me was kaede saying "I'm sorry, Rantaro..." because she never did anything wrong, it hurts me cause im a rantaro kin, and she never kill him, but tsumugi did

Kokichi didn't deserve to die in my opinion and the fact the Kaito didn't even hold in that he killed Kokichi broke my heart. Those two and K1bo are the true heroes of danganronpaV3😭😭😭
And if you didn’t know they treated Kiibo very terrible sometimes so it’s so sad that he cares so much for them even though they sometimes mistreated him it’s just heartbreaking

I recommend to watch the edit before reading this comment (Sorry if these are wrong in advance, but I haven’t watched the anime or played any of the games) Warning: spoilers ahead [but they are all connected to the video] Kaede At the start, I believe that you put up Kaede in that part as the song was saying the first 2 lines because she felt guilty and bad, so the first 2 lines apply as she was just hoping for everybody to forgive her, even though she didn’t even kill anybody. Kokichi When Kokichi was saying “The thing you guys wanted so badly, a truth with no lies” it didn’t really mean anything (I think) but when Kokichi died, he knew that nobody loved him, and when it said “if you wanna go then I’ll be so lonely” it meant that he didn’t want anybody to feel bad about his death , so he feels lonely because none of them believed him as he said his last few words. Kaito When it was Kaito on the screen the background music was implying his death/execution, as it said “let me down slowly” because instead of going up, he went downwards in his execution. Shuichi With Shuichi, the music kept repeating the words, ”let me down” as Kaito let him down, but he cared about Kaito and when he died Shuichi was petrified to the fact that the same thing would happen to Kaito like it happened to Kaede, a long execution. Kiibo I cant really find anything with Kiibo’s scene 😅 Junko As it transitioned from Junko waving to Tsumuigi waving, the words “if you wanna go then I’ll be so lonely” mean that maybe Junko cared about Tsumuigi, even just a bit. Tsumuigi The words, “if your leaving baby, let me down slowly” are connected to Tsumuigi because Dangeronpa was the last thing she had left, so she became nothing when she died from the rock, because she had lost at her own killing game. Kiibo (again) Still can’t figure out anything for him 😭😭😭 End of edit, loved it so much! Hope you enjoyed my analysis :)

Well, this was definitely the most depressing games of the whole Danganronpa franchise, it was so emotional, the deaths were brutal, the executions were insane, the characters suffered a lot, and the plot twists made me choke on air. I never thought, especially the ending, they would break the fourth wall, i cried a hundred times in the inside because of v3, but i am pleased with the ending haha..
Frrr like Kaede’s execution is rly insane almost as insane as Leon’s…..I really thought that Sdr2 was crazy and my boy Nagito’s death made me cry for days cause he was my favourite character…but DAMN this game rly took crazy to a whole new level…the death’s, the execution’s, the lore, the plot it was all thought out and written rly well….Shuichi most definitely suffered a lot considering he lost Kaede and then Kaito…which were his emotional shoulder. And even Himiko suffered a lot by losing both Angie and Tenko…and last thing…. tbh I don’t know why people hate this ending but like- it was a cool ending and it wasn’t in any-way expected (for me at least lol) breaking the fourth wall was rly clever…
What I don't understand. Kokichi telling himiko to stop lying to herself but kokichi lies to himself. Why? Why did kokichi do this? Why did kokichi lie to himself when he said he hates it if someone lies to themselves?

Kaede
At the start, I believe that you put up Kaede in that part as the song was saying the first 2 lines because she felt guilty and bad, so the first 2 lines apply as she was just hoping for everybody to forgive her, even though she didn’t even kill anybody.
Kokichi
When Kokichi was saying “The thing you guys wanted so badly, a truth with no lies” it didn’t really mean anything (I think) but when Kokichi died, he knew that nobody loved him, and when it said “if you wanna go then I’ll be so lonely” it meant that he didn’t want anybody to feel bad about his death , so he feels lonely because none of them believed him as he said his last few words.
Kaito
When it was Kaito on the screen the background music was implying his death/execution, as it said “let me down slowly” because instead of going up, he went downwards in his execution.
Shuichi
With Shuichi, the music kept repeating the words, ”let me down” as Kaito let him down, but he cared about Kaito and when he died Shuichi was petrified to the fact that the same thing would happen to Kaito like it happened to Kaede, a long execution.
Kiibo
I cant really find anything with Kiibo’s scene 😅
Junko
As it transitioned from Junko waving to Tsumuigi waving, the words “if you wanna go then I’ll be so lonely” mean that maybe Junko cared about Tsumuigi, even just a bit.
Tsumuigi
The words, “if your leaving baby, let me down slowly” are connected to Tsumuigi because Dangeronpa was the last thing she had left, so she became nothing when she died from the rock, because she had lost at her own killing game.
Kiibo (again)

Well, this was definitely the most depressing games of the whole Danganronpa franchise, it was so emotional, the deaths were brutal, the executions were insane, the characters suffered a lot, and the plot twists made me choke on air. I never thought, especially the ending, they would break the fourth wall, i cried a hundred times in the inside because of v3, but i am pleased with the ending haha..
Frrr like Kaede’s execution is rly insane almost as insane as Leon’s…..I really thought that Sdr2 was crazy and my boy Nagito’s death made me cry for days cause he was my favourite character…but DAMN this game rly took crazy to a whole new level…the death’s, the execution’s, the lore, the plot it was all thought out and written rly well….Shuichi most definitely suffered a lot considering he lost Kaede and then Kaito…which were his emotional shoulder. And even Himiko suffered a lot by losing both Angie and Tenko…and last thing…. tbh I don’t know why people hate this ending but like- it was a cool ending and it wasn’t in any-way expected (for me at least lol) breaking the fourth wall was rly clever…
