I feel like ravens could be the next species of animal that COULD be "domesticated" by humans eventually. They already thrive in our cities, all they need is something to do that benefits both them and us, super intelligent too. I hear they can remember faces of people they like or don't like. Almost dog like traits lol

She really is. A bit of a psychopath though. Which isn't a bad thing, ravens should be looking out for themselves. But is is interesting. There is a man who kept a raven for a long time and has few videos here on youtube.
He did a good one I saw a long time ago explaining how having a raven is like being in a abusive relationship with a narcissists.
He made some really good points, but I need to re-visit the video if I can find it.

Tesla is over there a lot. He is really highly suspicious of Shadow and seems to renew this interest every day. I'm glad he is keeping busy. :) The goats and sheep will be by there, too. Because they usually stay with Tesla.
Baby looked for a full day but then he lost interest. And Nandi cannot get back there because of a cross fence.
I think I have some film of Tesla visiting her one of the first days she was out there, but it was not much. I'll post something when someone goes over there again. An animal zoo for animals. :)

I'm not definitely not asking to crack my raven's beak. They're pretty hard and the rocks are light. And sure why not? It happened to be on the ground and she likes them.
camelsandfriends You're actually an idiot, why not an actual ball or use bread, those are way better things to play catch with an animal with than just rocks you find on the ground, eventually you're gonna make a mistake and something bad will happen I'm just saying what you're doing isn't smart and defending it is harmful.

@bluealef a bird won't swallow a plastic ball or a rock, that's not the cause for concern, the problem is that one day she isn't gonna pay attention and hit the bird with the rock and possibly blind it. I also don't understand where you think just because all life evolved with rocks that it instantly makes them rock-proof that's so dumb. You're question also avoids the topic I'm bringing up entirely so I don't have to answer it nor dignify it with a response; p.s. @camelsandfriends injuring her pet bird is a big deal *to her* . She can do it if she wants to for all we care she should just consider herself lucky that were giving our time to tell her that tossing rocks at an animal for a game of catch is stupid and will lead to accidents. The fact you say it's not a big deal makes me believe that you probably neglect your animals.

Notice how the rocks aren't thrown at the raven, they're thrown in her direction and she engages in the play extends her neck and catches them.
Just like dogs or cats or any animal with intelligence, including humans, entertainment and social engagement is an important part of your daily diet.
Anyway, you're probably cynical about why people do things for views given that your own videos are all thumbnailed by sexualised anime characters, so it makes sense that you'd apply your own logic to others, but I think it doesn't apply here.
I'm throwing rocks at a caged bird for a video for youtube. And also before the video, for the training of having her do it. Not really for the views. This isn't going to be some mass viral video and I don't care about the views. I just care about the people that I do enjoy it.
But you have stated the obvious very well. Anything else you would like to point out?
Seriously though-- she is fine. They are tossed lightly and she is quite good at catching them. If she didn't like it, she would hop away, bite me or more than that-- what I taught her never would have been possible without her want to do it. There is not even any reward system that would tempt her to just do it for a treat or otherwise.
I mean, a bird that is being stoned is probably going to move away. But I guess Shadow may be that weird.

UttERLy Baffled... WHY would ANYone spend so much time and effort, to train..No wait.. TO FORCE a raven to catch rocks being thrown at its Head, risking damage to its Beak, Head, Eyeball!?? ThAt Raven wanted NOTHING to do with catching those rocks! Only reason he did, was so he wouldn't get bashed in the skull ,by some Coo Coo rock smoker! Not sure what was more torture for the bird..Having rocks thrown at him..or him listening to the Coo Coo's non stop agonizing gibberish!! My God..Couldn't take no more. Stopped it half way.
