It was 100 times better then friends. It has a perfect blend of comedy And emotional moments. Friends is crap compared to Fraser. Fraser is a fucking MASTERPIECE of a sitcom.

Frasier was the perfect combination of writing, characters, acting, and technology. Everything about it is completely believable, which is the definition of "situation comedy". All of the characters are unique and real.

Which is weird as I missed the references as a kid, but there’s still plenty of character and situational humor. Frasier is the definition of “multi-level humor”

@@yellowblanka6058 Thank you… ikr? I loved 🥰 it! It was my go to when I had study breaks… I found I was inspired and actually had a huge influence on my dry sense of humour! Anyway, enough about me, me, me, and I, I, I !!!
Isn’t it funny how we start to understand some of the humour as we mature and have relative inevitable experiences in life! Wouldn’t it be fantastic to have a friend or partner that enjoys and appreciates your favourite shows? I watched hours of my boyfriend’s skateboarding 🛹 clips… but he can’t, won’t or is too scared to “focus” on Frazier for 10 minutes?!?! ✨🎄✨

A show that transcends network - there's almost something "Star Trek"-ish about this. Although "Trek" (and I mean the UPN/Warner Bros./WB era of Trek [and I don't mean Tribune's crap with a "The" before "WB"]) is far more leisurely than "Frasier" which is more stiff and philosophical. Not surprised it was on WPIX, in reruns, in NY. Because there's nothing truly UPNish about it, but there's nothing The WBish about it either.
People, types like Mr. Crane are the people who are gonna hit it hard, and set the stage for intergalactic peace and hopefully international peace on earth.

When I first saw it at my grandparents’ house on - if I recall correctly-TBS, I didn’t get exactly what was funny about it. I realize that it was because my father is exactly like Ray, grandfather was like Frank (Albert and Max), etc.. It unfortunately seemed normal to me. As I came to find out more about my own family history, I realize that my grandfather probably could get away with some stuff because-similarly to Max Rosenthal as a direct survivor of the Holocaust-he was a second-generation pogrom survivor (as his father was born on the day of the Kaniv Pogrom, and was exiled to Szumowo called “Sumeve” in Yiddish; and his mother was the daughter of a survivor of the Austrohungarian Inquisition).

I think women should do that too since they can't have abortion. Drop the kid off @ the guy's house & say " since all you care about is your selfish pleasure, this is yours to take care of now"

Oh dear, American society reflected in T.V. shows, assault weapons good, a cigarette bad. There is a streak of righteous puritanism running through it all. We should call the hang-'em-&-flog-'em brigade. Just saying.

Only 5 seconds in and i can already spot a few things. This show is a hodgepodge of things thrown together and it doesnt hit any of them , It has the neo-conservatism polices of the 80s-early 90s, the comedy wavelength of I love lucy and The brady bunch and the american laissez-faire hospitality of the midwest.

WTF. I see your a product of the times as well. The next generation can take you apart with the same finesse. I mean it’s a sit com for Christ sake not high art. Are you a self righteous conceited fop all the time? I’m guessing yes?

I'll assume "5 seconds" is hyperbole, as we're not past the title card at that point? Also, I wish young people would avail themselves of the many online dictionaries that exist; I'm afraid you don't know what "neoconservative" means. At no point in this small collection of clips do the characters advocate for free-market capitalism and an aggressively interventionist foreign policy. Speaking of "policy", I suspect you mean "values" as opposed to "policy", given the sitcom context. Moving on, I suppose "wavelength" is supposed to be "style"? In any case, the show is not at all reminiscent of "I Love Lucy" or "The Brady Bunch", which are comedies about marriage and/or families with children. "Frasier" was notable for NOT being about marriage: the most famous marriage (Niles and Maris) discussed was depicted from Niles' viewpoint only; we never meet Maris. Also, Frasier and Niles, while having children, are not shown actively parenting much, if at all - the show was about them as adults rather than as just parents. Finally, I'm not sure what "laissez-faire hospitality of the midwest" is supposed to mean in this context. Hands-off hotel or tourist service in Cincinnati or Chicago? The show is set in Seattle. No one is forcing you to like the show, but if you rant about it online, at least be coherent. This may require watching several episodes, so that you'll know what's going on. You should also get in the habit of looking up every "fancy" word you use before typing and posting your comment.

@@classiclife7204 Regarding your reply to Derlen x, Bravo! Best reply to a censorious twit I’ve read in a LONG time. Especially liked the advice regarding the failure of geography (I’m not from the US but suspected Seattle was no where near the mid west) and the advice to actually know the definition of a complex word before using it, gold! Derlen x first class example of style over substance. Ironically a product of the time. I’m guessing a liberal arts major who’s been sucked into the modern self hating grievance culture??

@@rogerthornhill1491 Who knows - might be a bright kid with something interesting to say one day but he's definitely putting the cart before the horse. If he'd simply said, "I found this boring" it would've been fine. However, I am a little tired of the kids not knowing what words or phrases mean. My current pet peeves are "begging the question" and "gatekeeping", heh
