We flew to Norway at the end of September. The destination was clear. Two nights in Oslo and then out to a cabin from where we could take a day trip to Bergen.
We started our vacation accordingly. We landed very late in Oslo and had planned our first two nights in Oslo accordingly. First night arrival. Then city trip and then sleep again and pick up the bus.
We then took the bus to our cabin, which was a good 6 hours from Oslo. On the way we passed the Vøringsfossen waterfall. We had made an unplanned stop. We all just needed a rest and a toilet. But there it was. But we found it on our list by chance. Very impressive.
Then we went to our accommodation. A beautiful wooden hut with 4 bedrooms, jacuzzi and sauna. And a terrace with a fantastic view.
After a day relaxing in the cabin, we were off to Bergen. And what can I say Bergen is a dream. There are a lot of tourists at the harbor because of all the cruise ships, but when we got to Ulriken (Mountain) it was a dream. A dream with bright sunshine and a perfect view.
For the next day we booked a Speed Boat Fjord Cruise in Nordheimsund. We really wanted to go on the fjord and the opportunity to do so on a speed boat was an incredible coincidence. We loved it. And it's definitely worth a recommendation.
