Thank you so much for invest so much time for this video. If you put the track temperature up to 29 degrees, would you use the medium tyers ore the softs aswell ? I am not really sure about that, because with softs they overheat very fast and with mediums become the right wheels a bit cold. With mediums i put the psi everywhere to 16. What would you advice and is the setup the same for mediums? Thank you so much for answering every single question. You help me so much and it makes so much more fund watching your videos, when I know you will and want to help your followers to get for everyone a great result. Thanks 👍
Hey man. Up to 29°C Softs are still good enough for quick laps, but the degradation is very high. And in some turns like Campsa (Turn 9) there'll be some oversteer, which is fine if you like it but far from optimal. Mediums are definitely recommended, because they last substantially more and lap times aren't that much slower. Regarding tyres' psi, the values shown in the video are good even at 29°C. Right tyres aren't in the same temp/pressure range of the left ones in Barcelona, because they aren't used as much. So you shouldn't worry if you see them cold. I put a higher psi starting value on the right side (RearRight +1 and FrontRight +2) because after a warm up lap all tyres will end up being in the same pressure range. Setup is the same for Mediums.
Very good video and excellent driver, can I transfer your video please? I will write down the video link and your ID, thanks. Because other players in my area don't have access to youtube
In general if tyres are cold, reducing their starting value psi helps. But keep in mind that in Assetto Corsa, tyres' pressure is more important than their temperature. In the case of GT3 cars the optimal value is around 26psi when warm. Use the tyres status app and aim for the pressure readings to be green even if the tyres' color (which shows the temperature) is blue. In tracks like Monza, Barcelona, Silverstone International the right tyres will always stay colder than the left ones no matter what. And that's why they require a higher psi value when cold: because after a couple of laps, all tyres will have the same pressure.
@@florent93 OK thanks, but in my case every tyer works quite good, but my left front tyer becomes after four laps completely red with a psi of 28-29 after the 3/4 corner. Do you have an Idea, how I can drop the temperature of the tyere in the setup? Thanks for answering so fast👍
It's tricky in this case. Assuming the correct tyre compound is being used for a certain track temperature, the best solution would be changing driving style in order to go easier on the tyres: smoother throttle application, using a less steering lock in braking zones and during corners and so on. From a setup point of view, there isn't a magic setting that does the job. It's always a bonus/malus situation. For example, you can try moving the brake bias a bit more towards the rear: 66% instead of 68%, so that under braking front tyres aren't loaded as much, but it may induce instability in braking zones. Increasing the tyres' psi starting value helps but it changes as well the overall balance of the car and so on. Your best bet is adapting the driving style.
Hi, if you have some time and fun to create a nother setup on this track, I would look forward about the Porsche gt3 2016. Maybe you can give me a short answer, if you plan it. If not, no problem. Your Videos are awesome, thanks a lot 😀👍🏁
Thanks for the setup, first race using it I did a 1:46 and some guy thought I was hacking lol
