Deborah thank you so much for sharing your insight and experience on getting started. It's really helpful to see how you move around your space too. You seem a well organised person - your kit is thoughtfully curated and a good starting point for me. Wishing you peace and freedom on your journey.
What brand is your sleeping bag? What brand is your water spout? Is electricity needed for it to work? What do you use the hydrogen peroxide for? More information needed..
Sleeping bag is Ozark Trail, which I bought at Walmart. Water faucet is GenKit from Amazon. It's usb rechargeable. I mostly use the hydrogen peroxide on my teeth and toothbrush. It's the main ingredient in expensive teeth whitening kits. It can be used for skin disinfectant as well and of course cuts, bug bites, etc.
Hi. Thanks so much 🤍 Yes, it very much depends on where I am. If I'm not at a campground or parked near a toilet of any kind, I have a little potty that I can use right in my car. I talk a bit about it in my Stealth camping video and my car tour video.
@juliarushing1920 I really love my tent, and yes it brings in tons of light as well a lot of extra living space. It's a pain in the butt to pitch, but it's worth it if I'm at a campsite for a few days.
@juliarushing1920 No, I love my bed and my body doesn't respond well to different sleeping situations. I am very content with my bed. The tent allows for privacy and more room, especially in bad weather. I just started closing the hatch at night. It's getting pretty chilly the last couple of nights but with the hatch closed, I'm super cozy.
Are you not permitted to put online links for these items until you are monetized on YT? I don't know what the rules are for Amazon affiliate links or how it works for the Canadian/US difference. Making what you have work for now is how you get to the next level. Press on!
Thanks Kathryn 🤍 I'm going through the motions with Amazon. I'm not sure if I qualify yet though I'm pretty sure I have to be monetized - I'm almost there! It's pretty cool. It happened so fast. 😀 Thanks for the nudge 🤍🤙😎
Hi, what’s the car insurance like over there?, I heard yesterday from someone in uk even if your paying insurance, you will not be covered if you live in a car, especially if it’s been modified. Dam cheek
I did too at first. You have to have the bottle cap on the bottle, then pop the little clear piece in with something (I just use the metal spout from the faucet, then put the faucet on the cap and push down as far as it will go. It's actually a great snug fit.
There's a difference between a car (sedan) and someone with a hatchback type of car (compact), you don't have a regular trunk like an actual sedan type of car. I can't spin around in my car like that. And I live out of my 2018 Accord, I have a trunk that splits the car in half. Also, it's a big difference when you have 2 power stations, the jackery along is $300 and the ecoflow delta is between $500-$1000. So it's kinda hard to believe that you fully live out of your car making a lot of money.
This is an unusual comment. There are gazillions of people out there sharing their stories who have more than I do or different setups that make their lives easier on the road. I'm happy for them - in fact, they inspire me. If you are not happy with what you have or don't have, then turn your energy towards that and go for it. What you want isn't going to come from writing critical comments to those who have, ya know. Just figure it out.
I watch so many nomad videos. Often I wish I had the deep-pockets resources of people who talk like their version of build is roughing it yet they show devices, construction, and other amenities that are far beyond what I can afford at this time. It's refreshing to see someone making do with whatever they consider little, on their way to making do with gradually more. I have a Class B, a classic Airstream. To some it would seem like a dream come true... but it's 35-years-old and there will never be any end to the expensive repairs it needs. I feel blessed to have stumbled on a trendy motorhome but have learned the hard way that it's prevented me from getting on the road because of needed repairs, while people making do with newer model sedans and newer but rusty cargo vans are out there traveling and seeing the sights. When I'm tempted to be envious of some piece of pricey equipment someone else has, I'm reminded that I could have had that equipment if I hadn't decided it was more important to spend the same amount of money elsewhere. In my case, repairs such as a power steering pump that isn't leaking or a front-end suspension that isn't wobbling, with a long list still ahead of me before I can even consider my trendy Class B road-safe. Angie On Tour and Living Life Without A Plan both did amazing with sedans. (Rumor has it that AOT is unexpectedly deceased, she just disappeared; LLWAP found a new sticks&bricks life she's loving in a community close to family members in the PNW.)
Thanks Debra ! very much needed information and you have your car set up amazingly organized for everything you need! Love your journey! Vancouver island looks like the place to do car life! Beautiful and relaxed spots to hang out and car camp! You are truly well equipped! Enjoy Autumn 🍂 🍂🍂🍂
Please don’t think I am being mean or ugly, but I do have a comment. I would like to ask you to stop hitting things with your hand while you’re talking about it because it’s very distracting and it’s making me not want to listen. But you’re very interesting so I continue to listen lol please don’t be mad.
Sorry, but your audio is atrocious. You keep fading out. You might consider adjusting the mike, or where you set your 📱.. I can take sponge baths, but I gotta have my TOILET.....

Hi Deborah. Great video. Was wondering what you do with the toilet situation. Does it depend on where you are, etc.

Hi Deborah. Thanks for the video. what do you think of having the tent? It seems like it allows a lot of natural light in.

Where did you get the 3 Gallon jug
Ty
At a local grocery store. They sell them by the water filling station. I think you can get them on Amazon as well
What is name (brand) of water spout you bought on Amazon and how is it powered? Battery?
GetKen on Amazon. It's usb rechargeable. I love it 😀

I pay less than $1000 for a year for insurance. I'm not sure about additional coverage.
I never can get the faucet thing to stay on. How can I learn to make it work?
I did too at first. You have to have the bottle cap on the bottle, then pop the little clear piece in with something (I just use the metal spout from the faucet, then put the faucet on the cap and push down as far as it will go. It's actually a great snug fit.
are you able to stealth camp?
Yes, but I'm not fond of it. I have a video called stealth camping. You can check that one
I wanted to ask you; What do you do or use to get internet to do your videos?
It’s important to me to have internet, and if possible, I don’t want to have a monthly subscription…
@annettepierson6130 I usually go to Starbucks to do some of the editing and upload. I also have a huge data plan, but I use that as a last resort.
@annettepierson6130 me too. I have a great cellphone package with lots of data, but going to Starbucks is good for now.
