  • A MOTOMAN HP20F robot from YASKAWA is in the centre of this compact and flexible packaging cell supplied by Overveld Packaging in the Netherlands, who is a YASKAWA systems partner. The company's website is www.overveldpackaging.com. The robot is controlled from the compact FS100 controller, which helps to reduce the overall cell size.
Boxes are fed in a folded condition from an infeed conveyor and collected by the robot that automatically opens the box. A pneumatic plate gripper collects 4 bottles with oil from a bottle infeed line and places them in the box. The box is in an inclined position that facilitates the placing of further rows of bottles. When the packing process is completed, the box is transferred out of the packing area and automatically closed.
    Key benefits:
    - Flexible system to accommodate different packing requirements.
    - Reduced dependence on manual labour.
    - Compact cell optimises floor space.
    - Fast throughput reducing handling cost.
