Lol the final part when you keep moving around in the circle and flowey says "would you stop that!" flowey really is a well made character and is one of the best fourth wall breaking character i have seen
actually if you talk to flowey after resetting you game before the end of the nuetral run he says that he can never beat that Smiley trashbag. So sans probably done a no hit run on omega flowey.
What makes Sans hard is the lack of invincibility frames, as well as his "karma retribution" which poisons you. slowly leeching away at your health. But his attacks are tame and fair, as well as predictable. Flowey's attacks are pretty random and hard as balls to dodge. Easier to survive, yes, but WAY harder to dodge. So doing a no-hit Sans fight would be child's play after this.
That's coming from someone who has yet to make it past the Sans fight. The nature of their difficulty is completely different. With Flowey, you're expected to get hit, and you even get to heal several times throughout the course of the battle. With Sans, the battle is designed to feel merciless but possible. The best way to survive is to just memorize the attack pattern and not get hit. And as you repeat the fight, that becomes easier and easier until there's no challenge to it.

hey, karma retribution doesnt poison you, its actually helps you in that fight.it makes it so instead of you taking that damage immediately, it goes down over time.

It decreases your actual health much more slowly and won't go below 1 HP, which means you can potentially take significantly more "hits" than your health without actually dying. Very similar to Earthbound's rolling counter. Hits must first poison your whole health down to 1 THEN deplete the poisoned health before killing you with the last blow.

Someone help!" and that no one would come. Is this because when Flowey actually got turned into the flower, he called for help but no one came?
+Ekreger Laser RNG is around 5% or something, flowey shouldn't do anything at any point, every single part is RNG. And believe me, I lost countless runs because of shitty RNG, don't think that I always got good one because of this video (not like i got super good RNG here either, actually..)
Malygos the spellweaver true, simply because a few of the attacks are randomized, which is the same reason most players have a harder time beating toriel on their 2nd playthrough than beating.. say.. Muffet of their first playthrough
He never said Omega Flowey was harder than Sans, he said the no hit run for Omega Flowey is much harder than that for Sans. And there's no way anyone can deny that. Sans was meant to be completed as near to no-hit as possible anyway due to his poison effect, but Flowey EXPECTED you to take 100+ hits of damage, due to the plentiful healing items and 7 checkpoints.
I love how at the end of the video, after repeating the fight over and OVER AND OVER to get it right, he decides to kill him without even going for the betrayal kill

+Yakita60 There is only one attack you can't actually dodge from this normally. And it only activates if the game detects you are hugging the bottom and slowly moving across. (3 Flamethrowers followed by the laser) Basically anything else you can learn to dodge with practice.
Actually he didn't. The laser that comes from his mouth was removed. That's literally in the game to prevent not taking damage during the fight. It also charged up but didn;t fire. And the end of the fight you take damage regardless.

Well yeah, it's sort of supposed to be easy. If you know what you're doing, at least. If you're playing blind, no, you have no idea what you're doing. I was playing blind, and not only did I not know what I was doing, I was still getting over what just happened.
Yes, this is a boss. Yes, this was a no hit, unavoidable attacks don't count. No, he did not use save states, that's Flowey manipulating save states to mess with you. Play the game or watch multiple videos before you accuse someone of something.

Also, I saw people commenting about how he took damage at 8:18. It's impossible to move when Flowey is doing that, thus you can't dodge the attack so...It doesn't count.
yeah, those are also the weapons if the previous fallen humans. They match up to a Chef, a Bellet Dancer, a Cowboy, a Boxer, and the first child who fell. (I dont evem know where you get the torn notebook, so im not saying anything about that one, except for maybe a news reporter)

This game prides itself on knowing every single thing a gamer would think to do and beat them to the punch with a comment on it. It's the one thing above all its other positive traits that separate it from all the other indie titles.

I assume you play netplay? thats why most people have these at least lol. But really, good work. I want to see if I can do this with my keyboard, and see how much better I would do with a controller.

That’s ridiculous, wow. Even though Sans is harder than Omega Flowey, in my opinion Omega Flowey is harder to get no hit on. My reason being: With San’s attacks, you can practice them enough and get very consistent in all of them. Once consistent, you can get no hit after trying for a little while. I have gotten a no hit Sans in a Sans Fight Simulator (the simulator copied all the Sans fight files, so the only thing that’s different about the simulator is that there’s no speech before each attack) but with Omega Flowey, especially with his attack where he throws out rings of white flakes, most of his attacks have no order and are very inconsistent. Like the one where he shoots out giant circles of giant white flakes, it just feels like you’re helplessly moving back and forth, hoping you don’t get hit. Another one is where he spawns white circles which, after about half a second, explode, shooting white flakes in every direction. You can only really focus on one at a time, and they’re really hard to completely avoid. Sorry for writing a fricking essay on my opinion for some game, but I just wanted to get it all out I guess
This guy didn't do it without damage, well he did but he did something to the game files so flowey wouldn't use a certain attack that makes no hit flowey impossible he obviously took out the blue laser attack that he uses which that combined with the other attacks makes no hit flowey impossible
Ragecomiclols Flowey's attack pattern is mostly RNG. The blue laser is rare RNG that is rumored to pop up more often when you hug the bottom of the screen and move horizontally. Because of the RNG, there WILL be playthroughs where the blue laser+flamethrower combo don't happen.

I just realized that all of the items you find through the game (frying pan, apron, real knife, ballet shoes) are all items from previous humans... The knife is from Chara.
The photoshop flowey fight actually doesn't make sense because Chara and Frisk are determination souls and yet Chara's item was a knife. (Look at the wiki)

What doesn't impress me the most is how you dodge the bullet hell-type situations, because I've already seen Touhou stuff, but it fucking blows my mind that you dodged the moments when he loads a save to confuse you. HOW DID YOU PREDICT THAT, AND DODGE IT ACCORDINGLY. BRO. TOP FUCKING NOTCH. (also now i love to imagine this colossal monster unable to land a single hit on a 8-year old lmao)
Sans and Asriel both have predictable attack patterns. Flowey's, as far as I know, are almost completely randomized. Which means this guy had to memorize every one of Flowey's attacks and react accordingly, not knowing which one was coming next. That's some next level dedication.

100k Views in not much more than a week, that's crazy! It's been really fun reading every single one of your comments, it really felt like the 97 hours were totally worth it :) There have been lots of comments asking questions that are answered already in the description, so please check it out along with the pastebin I made, I hope it helps. I'll try to explain a few curiosities to make this comment a little more interesting.. First, something that even surprises myself, is related to the green soul. I've read lots of comments about me "hugging" the green soul in two parts of the video, 5:50 and 9:42. It's really interesting, because in every single other attempt, I did that with the cyan soul, since It's the color I like the most. And I mean, EVERY single other attempt. This one was the first and only one where instead of the cyan soul, I went following the green one. I like to think that it gave me a little more luck for the final phase :P While still being at the fight I realized that had happened, that's why I went around the green soul at 9:42, kinda like saying thanks (...). Second, this might sound a bit more arbitrary, but after 95 hours doing this, I realized something. I took my headphones off, and I was surprised on how much better I was at dodging the attacks. I still don't know if it really made a difference, but I'm pretty sure it made me able to dodge the attacks more consistently, and I noticed that I could react to every attack a little earlier. As I said, it might have been a coincidence, but only 2 hours from that, I was able to finally do it, so who knows.. There was a downside to this, which was the Gamecube controller. It's common knowledge that gamecube controllers make a lot of noise, and while at the first 6 sections that wasn't a problem (since I only had to move the control stick), it kinda was at the last one. I had to constantly mash A to hit the Fight buttons, and that honestly made quite a lot of noise. Luckly, it wasn't a big problem after all. Third, a very small detail regarding the previous 2 curiosities. You can see at 5:40 that I stopped for a few seconds. That was probably me thinking something like "here again, I hope this is the one!", but, as I said earlier, I had the headphones off, even though you can see just a couple seconds later, that I did kind of a soul dance following the music. That was simply me guessing where that small part of the song would be, and I kind of nailed it after hearing it many times, didn't I?. Actually I was around 0.2 seconds off, which makes it better, since I recorded with OBS, and that program has around 0.2seconds audio delay, making the dance look perfect. Might sound dumb, but I smiled the first time I saw it :) Finally, I probably should talk about the few comments saying that this is fake. Either cheated, or spliced. There isn't much I can say about that. There isn't a way to TAS Undertale, and there isn't any cheat that would help me doing this (I think), but I understand that you might not believe that this is legit, since it might look too hard. If that's the case, please read the description, I explained there everything I went through while attempting this :) And regarding the legendary LASER that supposedly makes this impossible. No, it is true that you can get a very rare RNG with a Laser + Flamethrower, making you get it 99% of the times, but that's simply something that can happen rarely, but it's not necessary. Again, it's explained in the pastebin of the description. That's it, I really hope you liked the video! And from now on, let's try not to make 70% of the comments bad jokes about me getting hit at 8:15 please :P
Y'know I kinda wish, that for all that Toby could have had Flowey atleast give you props for all that swift dodging, especially considering all the shit he threw at you. Could have just been a small piece of dialogue. But it'd still be something.
+Lord Hawkeye Kinda, he returns the game to a previous moment or SAVE of the gameplay. You just need to see when he saves the game and prepare to dodge the attack "again" when he loads that SAVE.
+Lord Hawkeye those are actually his easiest attacks to dodge, all you gotta do is just keep doing whatever you're doing. it's disorienting the first time around, but if you replay the battle a few times you'll very rarely every get hit due to the save states

I assume you used the official Nintendo adapter to connect your GC controller to your PC? 2. Do you use the d-pad or control stick to move your heart around?
+Adrylek No official GCN adapter exists, but you can use the official GCN>Wii U adapter on PC using unofficial drivers. In fact, Dolphin has implemented native support for it, meaning you can plug one in and your controllers will work exactly as they would on console, no additional set-up required; a god-send if you like to emulate GCN/Wii games. From what I've heard, however, the Mayflash 4-port GCN adapter functions identically to the official adapter (meaning if you set it to GCN mode, plug it into a PC and use it with Dolphin, it will even work perfectly with Dolphin's native support), so if you have that, you're not missing out on anything. Even then, it's not *particularly* important if you're not doing any emulation. (Haven't looked into this stuff in a while; if I got something wrong, feel free and let me know.)

Sans was meant to be completed as near to no-hit as possible anyway due to his poison effect, but Flowey EXPECTED you to take 100+ hits of damage, due to the plentiful healing items and 7 checkpoints.

Actually he didn't. The laser that comes from his mouth was removed. That's literally in the game to prevent not taking damage during the fight. It also charged up but didn;t fire. And the end of the fight you take damage regardless.

Even though Sans is harder than Omega Flowey, in my opinion Omega Flowey is harder to get no hit on.
My reason being:
With San’s attacks, you can practice them enough and get very consistent in all of them. Once consistent, you can get no hit after trying for a little while. I have gotten a no hit Sans in a Sans Fight Simulator (the simulator copied all the Sans fight files, so the only thing that’s different about the simulator is that there’s no speech before each attack) but with Omega Flowey, especially with his attack where he throws out rings of white flakes, most of his attacks have no order and are very inconsistent. Like the one where he shoots out giant circles of giant white flakes, it just feels like you’re helplessly moving back and forth, hoping you don’t get hit. Another one is where he spawns white circles which, after about half a second, explode, shooting white flakes in every direction. You can only really focus on one at a time, and they’re really hard to completely avoid.

Flowey's attack pattern is mostly RNG. The blue laser is rare RNG that is rumored to pop up more often when you hug the bottom of the screen and move horizontally.
Because of the RNG, there WILL be playthroughs where the blue laser+flamethrower combo don't happen.
There is a secret when you get incased in the friendliness pellets and keep running into them, flowey will go "Can you stop that!"

You just have to move right or left once you figure it its easy. He only use that vine attack.
Just watch when he saves the states, and he usually saves twice then loads the last one. In the later phases, he saves then loads on the next attack.

Sans and Asriel both have predictable attack patterns. Flowey's, as far as I know, are almost completely randomized. Which means this guy had to memorize every one of Flowey's attacks and react accordingly, not knowing which one was coming next. That's some next level dedication.

It's been really fun reading every single one of your comments, it really felt like the 97 hours were totally worth it :)
There have been lots of comments asking questions that are answered already in the description, so please check it out along with the pastebin I made, I hope it helps.
I'll try to explain a few curiosities to make this comment a little more interesting..
First, something that even surprises myself, is related to the green soul. I've read lots of comments about me "hugging" the green soul in two parts of the video, 5:50 and 9:42. It's really interesting, because in every single other attempt, I did that with the cyan soul, since It's the color I like the most. And I mean, EVERY single other attempt. This one was the first and only one where instead of the cyan soul, I went following the green one. I like to think that it gave me a little more luck for the final phase :P
While still being at the fight I realized that had happened, that's why I went around the green soul at 9:42, kinda like saying thanks (...).
Second, this might sound a bit more arbitrary, but after 95 hours doing this, I realized something.
I took my headphones off, and I was surprised on how much better I was at dodging the attacks.
I still don't know if it really made a difference, but I'm pretty sure it made me able to dodge the attacks more consistently, and I noticed that I could react to every attack a little earlier.
As I said, it might have been a coincidence, but only 2 hours from that, I was able to finally do it, so who knows..
There was a downside to this, which was the Gamecube controller. It's common knowledge that gamecube controllers make a lot of noise, and while at the first 6 sections that wasn't a problem (since I only had to move the control stick), it kinda was at the last one. I had to constantly mash A to hit the Fight buttons, and that honestly made quite a lot of noise.
Luckly, it wasn't a big problem after all.
Third, a very small detail regarding the previous 2 curiosities. You can see at 5:40 that I stopped for a few seconds. That was probably me thinking something like "here again, I hope this is the one!", but, as I said earlier, I had the headphones off, even though you can see just a couple seconds later, that I did kind of a soul dance following the music.
That was simply me guessing where that small part of the song would be, and I kind of nailed it after hearing it many times, didn't I?.
Actually I was around 0.2 seconds off, which makes it better, since I recorded with OBS, and that program has around 0.2seconds audio delay, making the dance look perfect.
Might sound dumb, but I smiled the first time I saw it :)
Finally, I probably should talk about the few comments saying that this is fake. Either cheated, or spliced.
There isn't much I can say about that. There isn't a way to TAS Undertale, and there isn't any cheat that would help me doing this (I think), but I understand that you might not believe that this is legit, since it might look too hard. If that's the case, please read the description, I explained there everything I went through while attempting this :)
And regarding the legendary LASER that supposedly makes this impossible.
No, it is true that you can get a very rare RNG with a Laser + Flamethrower, making you get it 99% of the times, but that's simply something that can happen rarely, but it's not necessary. Again, it's explained in the pastebin of the description.

Holy fuck dude that is an insane achievement! Also really cool of you to provide this much info in case other people want to no damage as well.
Just got two questions:
1. I assume you used the official Nintendo adapter to connect your GC controller to your PC?
2. Do you use the d-pad or control stick to move your heart around?
+HiddenPower13 I used a Mayflash adapter, didn't know there were official ones for PC. And I use the Control Stick. GC's D-pad is pretty awful imo
+Adrylek No official GCN adapter exists, but you can use the official GCN>Wii U adapter on PC using unofficial drivers. In fact, Dolphin has implemented native support for it, meaning you can plug one in and your controllers will work exactly as they would on console, no additional set-up required; a god-send if you like to emulate GCN/Wii games.
From what I've heard, however, the Mayflash 4-port GCN adapter functions identically to the official adapter (meaning if you set it to GCN mode, plug it into a PC and use it with Dolphin, it will even work perfectly with Dolphin's native support), so if you have that, you're not missing out on anything. Even then, it's not *particularly* important if you're not doing any emulation.
(Haven't looked into this stuff in a while; if I got something wrong, feel free and let me know.)

I agree. I only had 2 fails to him at the flowey fight seen before the soul's sword scene. other than that, it's as easy AF!

He loads an attack you already dodged once. Just dodge it again the same way.
Flowey is one of those players who fail at a boss and then try again using the same friggin strat again and then they wonder why it still didn't work.
Huge ups for completing this. You belong in the video game hall of fame for doing something this difficult. That being said, tut tut for killing flowey at the end :P
If Toby Fox doesn't give you an award for this, I'll be pissed.
